"Best Of" A World of Musical Madness

This first song is a collaboration, that my wife inspired me to create.  She moved here (York, PA) from Hawaii because she loves me.  But I know she hates the cold and the snow and ice and especially driving in it.  I also know and that it gets her down. Touched by the fact that, "my queen" gave up living in paradise, close to her friends and family to be with me. . .well it really means a lot to me. This really hit home for me when she shared how she was driving home from work the other evening and swerved to miss a deer and her SUV spun around on the slippery, snowy roads. Thankfully she, her SUV (and the deer) were unharmed.

This happened about the same time, "A Complete Unknown", the Bob Dylan movie was getting ready to hit theatres. So, I chose to do this song with a little "Hawaiian Slack Guitar" vibe and sort of a "Dylanesque" vocal. It's not exactly Bob Dylan. . .but reminiscent, with hints of Hawaiian slack guitar mixed in.

Finding The Flame

Generations of millennials, gen-z'ers and gen-alpha are out there, unable to have simple, face-to-face conversations with others.  They're unable to emotionally connect with others and are so wrapped up within their own ego's that they now need "safe spaces" with coloring books and crayons on college campuses.  They need "cry rooms" where they can go, just to avoid allowing anyone to see one ounce of emotion from them. Then, with COVID, it seems like this dysfunction spread, and affected other generations, all the way back to baby-boomers.  We started working remotely, and got so used to the separation, we don't want to go to our friends houses or to parties anymore.  And when people DO finally get together, they're all staring at their phones.  We've all become SO DISCONNECTED! This song is about getting back to our face-to-face interactions, parties, dinners with friends and family, at re-learning (or for gen z'ers and gen-alphas, learning for the first time) the ART of conversation and discovering what it means to be empathetic and to love someone other than yourself!

Sorry, I’m busy

I'm just creating music with the tools I have at my disposal, hoping the stories I weave will resonate with others. I have multiple albums out there.  "It's All About Family", is a collection of songs specifically for family members. "Songs from the Heart" is the start of my wife's album, since she's been bitten by the artistic bug.
