One of the Last Human Singer/Songwriters

My name is Dave Hanrahan. I was born and raised in Watertown, Massachusetts. I was the only son in a family of four children. At 7 years old my father passed away suddenly. This would be a defining moment in my families’ lives. I was the only son and now I would navigate my life rudderless. It was the week the Beatles played Ed Sullivan. 

I am a singer/songwriter from a different era. I had written close to 80 songs when I laid everything down to become a husband and a father in 1989. I laid it down because I desired a family more then anything in life, certainly more then celebrity.  

In November of 2019, I unpacked my instruments after a 30 year hiatus. I wasn't certain if I could even recall the chords to most of my music. It was all in my head. I had taught myself how to play which translates to a student learning from an illiterate instructor. I can't read or write a note to this day. Muscle memory I was happy to find is a fact even after 30 years.

I began practicing countless hours a day for about six weeks when suddenly, a song popped into my head. It was in a style that even I was unfamiliar with. I felt as though I picked up where I left off in 1989. I haven't stopped writing since that day three years ago. I have well over 70 more songs to produce to ensure my entire catalog has been recorded.

To create a new Music Industry run and operated by Artist only. Like many of the RAP Stars of the 90’s who made it an art form. I am a Life Path 1 so have no doubt I will get it done or it’s artificial intelligence soulless Muzak for everybody. 

I am here to do a job, At my juncture in life it is obvious it isn’t for the fame and fortune. We are musicians and artists first and foremost. We are those who help steer the collective consciousness. I picked up this mantle in December of 1980. The night I wrote ‘Dear John’. ‘If you want to be a hero, then just follow me’. Thank you Johnny music has always been in the hands of the Angelic. Even after they threw the conductor out. .
