Ross Kiser steps up for Sublease Music with two new down-and-dirty tracks that reflect the maturing of his sound over the last few years. 

The US-based artist set out to make a darker, minimal EP highlighting synth work and textures to create groove and atmosphere, and succeeded completely.  

Catacombs is a deep and dark rolling joint that foregrounds intricate synths and sounds over drums and percussion. As Ross explains, “I wanted to create a sense of tension and release that not only worked in a groovy sense but also for the dancefloor. I chose and created sounds that in my ears had power and depth, and I’m super happy with the end result.” 

Next up is Differently which uses a similar sound palette but with a slightly more house-y result. Again Ross breaks down his thinking; “It has a slightly housier (deep) and groovier feel to it, featuring a more melodic bassline that is meant to get you moving. I love playing with vocals and so when I found the “hook” or the simple yet elegant “Differently” vocal stab, it immediately worked and sat nice in the mix”. 

Nürnberg based Markus Homm rounds off the EP with a stripped down and even deeper remix of Catacombs.

House don Markus Homm drops a three tracker on Sublease, following up from his 2023 appearance on Steve Bug’s label for the deeper side of house.  

Homm adds to his considerable back catalogue with Hey You, showcasing his deep skills for creating atmospheric house music.  

The title track is a deep roller full of signature elements, grooving drum programming, cut up, soulful vocals, atmospheric pads and a thick, present bass.   

Rhythmic Journey is up next, lifting the energy to more insistent pace, but keeping things to minimum to allow the track to create its own space.   

Six closes out this release - a fully dubbed out take on house which allows the sub bass to dominate on top of an irresistible groove.

The Swiss duo Sous Sol is on a roll with recent production work for Hive Audio, Re:FreshYourMind, Cyclic Records and Bondage Music.

Based in Luzern, Lukas Meyer and Teo Fionom began their journey together in 2011 and now they are well established in the local scene and making serious waves across Europe.

Here at the WH Towers we immediately fell in love with their deep, dreamy and crispy sound of the original executed to perfection. We are are not afraid to describe this one of our best releases for quite some time.

The original is backed up by a quality remix from Bondage Music owners Pornbugs from Germany. They turn in a slightly tougher version but stay loyal to the original. We have been fans of both their own productions and their label for years so it’s great to have them on board.

'Butane and Riko Forinson link up for an enchanting new deep house single on Deeperfect that comes backed with a hot remix from Detroit mainstay Shaun Reeves.

For many years now, Butane has cooked up electric grooves on the finest labels from Get Physical to Crosstown and his own Alphahouse, Little Helpers and Extrasketch. A master of texture and mood, he has been touring the world since 2005 and always keeps people guessing as to his next trick. Meanwhile, Italian Riko Forinson has long been fascinated by acoustics and has studied various instruments at the Conservatory of Salerno. He now makes futuristic electronic music with influences of rock, jazz, hip hop, reggae and classic house.
