Dave Rettinger grew up singing in a 150 year old church and has been writing folks songs since his father taught him how to play the 1960's protest song, P. F. Sloan's "Eve of Destruction", which would, unknown to 7th grade Dave at the time, open the door to the world-perspective writing style that has become a trending part of Dave's identity as an artist. With his notebook and father's guitar, Dave continued producing songs through traveling and residing in areas along the Florida Coast, NC Outer Banks, Martha's Vineyard, Cape May NJ, Philadelphia, Colorado, Michigan, and other US territories, gaining dynamic American experiences.
