With the arrival of Oscar Sanchez, Meet Recordings proudly welcomes a newcomer who is anything but inexperienced. His debut single “Donkeyhead”, accompanied by “Forked Tongue” and “Yaco,” captures the unmistakable spirit of late-90s and early-2000s techno: raw, deep, rolling, and hardgroove-driven. It’s a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh precisely the kind of energy today’s floors are craving.

From the first bar, “Donkeyhead” showcases Oscar’s signature touch: rugged drums, hypnotic momentum, and a timeless groove architecture that pays tribute to an era when techno was at its purest. “Forked Tongue” reinforces this direction with bold percussive tension, while “Yaco” brings a stripped yet infectious rhythm that DJs will immediately understand as peak-time material.

About Oscar Sanchez:

Oscar Sanchez has been immersed in electronic music since the early 2000s. At just 16, he began honing his craft on Akiyama turntables and stacks of vinyl, practicing tirelessly in his room while recording and replaying Loca FM’s legendary “Techno Culture” program on his Walkman. These formative years shaped his deep understanding of groove, momentum, and the physicality of techno.

Throughout his journey, Oscar has shared the booth with some of Spain’s most respected names—Cristian Varela, Cristian Wünsch, Nuke, Pelacha, Raúl Parra, among many others. He has performed at emblematic venues such as Family Club and Área 42, and appeared at festivals including Oasis Summer Festival, solidifying his reputation in the central Spanish scene.

Since moving into production in 2017, Oscar has released on an impressive list of labels including Unity Records, Kneaded Pains, Dolma, Crash, Transfiguration, WRD, Vezotonic, Plastic Toys, Beats HD, Black Square, Elektrax, Xelima, Diffuse Reality, and has built strong collaborations with Kneaded Pains, MEUK, 09Recordings, The Acid Mind, Say What? and Sway. His catalogue reflects versatility, precision, and a deep connection to the roots of techno.

Up next on Amsterdam’s Format label is a four-tracker featuring original cuts and remixes by Matrixxman, Echologist and label boss Juan Sanchez himself.

The fourteenth Format release is definitely one not to miss out on, as it offers material from some of today’s most sought-after techno heads. Up first is Expiration, a joint effort from Matrixxman and Echologist. This one combines Matrixxman’s signature bass and Echologist’ one-of-a-kind dub techno flavors across a very trippy canvas. Format’s Juan Sanchez follows with a dark and synth-heavy rework of the track. On Foʞus, Juan displays a more melodic cut propelled by a playful groove. Closing things off, Matrixxman and Echologist turn Foʞus into a crushing techno track filled with sweeping fx.
Format continues with another strong release that’s destined to do the damage…

After the runaway success of The Beast’s digital release, which was supported by a huge number of DJs including Perc, Dax J, Marika Rossa & Nina Kraviz to name a few. We asked Perc if he would kindly do us a remix and he agreed!

The original version is a tough driving techno monster with bleeps and vocal cuts scratching in and out of the relentless snare drum driven groove.

The Perc remix is an insane ride into the realms of bit crushing industrial FX, full on frenetic energy with one of the most hypnotic grooves on the planet.

Both tracks have been secret weapons on the dance floors of the world and have gone down incredibly well every time.

What's special about this release is that it will be on 12" vinyl as well as available digitally. The vinyl is due on 7/12, the digital will come shortly after. So for those of you who always enquire about vinyl, for once your prayers are answered!!

ELAB PREMIÈRES : Capon - Lucid Dream

In April of this year, Joe Farr announced he'd be hosting a remix competition, using the stems from 10 of his UX [User Experience] back catalogue tracks. The entrants had until May 10th to finish and submit their tracks, with the winners getting released on a special UX compilation (digital), to be mastered by Joe himself and promoted like any other UX release.

This week we will premiere two tracks from the V/A compilation, the first coming from young up and coming producer FLÆN. With releases already on the likes of Gobsmacked Records and Industrial Techno United, plus Tetraedre Records, Falsive Records and Revok Records, this latest release further adds to his already growing catalogue. 

Remixing French techno producers Ekors, this a techno re-work fit for any dance floor. Expect industrial and heavy drum work making this a peak-time dance floor destroyer. 

As an extra incentive, all profits from this release are being donated to Women's Aid charity, a worthy cause to support during these times.

With this album, Eindhoven’s electronic producers join forces to cry out: Music has no immune system. Music has no vulnerabilities. With Eindhoven behind a mask, but in unity, this album is a compilation that takes you on an emotional safari. Reflecting the collective experiences of the past year, the album starts with harder, abrasive techno confusion. It gradually eases into a summer of melancholic synths and chords. The drama rises again towards the end of the album, but leaves us with hope for a brighter future.

Produced by The Orchestra, ‘Eindhoven Behind The Mask’ features 15 different producers and 3 visual artists. Because of this you’ll hear a uniquely different energy with every track, but blended together into a cohesive journey.
