Eight Ball Willy was a real one. Back in the streets of Portland, he and Dave ran wild — and with a name like that, you already know they were up to no good.

At the time, Dave was living out of his car, questioning everything — his choices, his future, his purpose. Out of that chaos came this track — a raw, emotional tribute to his old friend, Eight Ball Willy.

Dave was building beats in his hotel room when the knock came. The manager said the music was too loud — and at $79 a night with a $16-an-hour job, Dave couldn’t afford to get kicked out. So he turned it all down. Way down. Whispered the vocals. Softened the bass. Finished the track with the volume on 2 — but the message still hits at 10.
