Eleonora's Secret

Since 2004, Dave Vega has been a resident at Frankfurt´s famous Robert Johnson club. For his first Exone release, he joins forces with Seth Troxler at Exercise One´s studio. On the title track he teamed up with highflying Seth to capture a unique moment, which consequently became a beautiful song - "The Woes Of Me". On the flip, "Suspended In Dust" deftly nails the dry, driving sound Dave has made a name for himself with over the past decade and gives the EP an interesting second pole. To round out the EP, Exone's own Exercise One add their take on 'The Woes Of Me', giving the track a more dancefloor oriented dress without covering up it's seductive charm.

Exone hits double digits with Dave Vega releasing number 10.  Dave continues where he left off by unleashing the next two tracks based on his convincing crisp, pumping grooves and just the right amount of melodic edge. Marc Houle adds his remixing talent to round out the EP which playfully hits the spot in the middle- ground between Techno and House.

Dave Vega - Hell Stays Open All Night Long (Original Mix) [Exone]

It took Mr. Echonomist a very short period of time to deliver a second strike on Quantized! This is the second part of the Simple Minds E.P. and it contains two more remixes of the original track plus a new Echonomist bomb! German DJ and producer Patrick Zigon needs no special introduction. His works in the last ten years speak louder than words. Here he delivers a minimal, moody and deep tech house remix with excellent drive, awesome production and great hooks. This is a serious track! Also from Germany, newcomer Dave Vega contributes a great remix. Sweet and dark, it has a slow buildup, beautiful melodies, catchy vocal samples and distinct storm effects that make this track easily recognizable. The atmosphere is as deep and thick as it gets, the sounds are crystal clear and the style is unique! Nice work from Mr. Dave. This EP wraps up with a hymn-like piece named Ariadne. Uplifting and spiritual, this instance of tech house is deep yet powerful enough to set dancefloors on fire, especially in the afterhours. Long running synth lines, groovy drums and breath-taking melodies make this track arguably the best of the whole Simple Minds series. We have yet to find out who is Ariadne though!

Echonomist - Simple Minds (Dave Vega Remix) [Quantized Music]

Exone 12 comes from fresh Italian talent Andrea Zannini. Born in Terni, a major industrial town in central Italy, Andrea began fiddling with electronic gear at school where he had developed his passion for music, playing locally and experimenting with production. But Terni is small and it was just a matter of time for Berlin to become the place to go, try out, learn experiment, live. Working at night on his music and during the day in a pizzeria, he met the Exone fellowship, who are eager pizza eaters. Fantasy Dream ventures right to the highest feeling you can have on the dancefloor, with a bassline that builds and bubbles increasing your grin with every shift. Dave Vega's remix reveals an epic, deeper side and pleasantly surprises us with its expansiveness. Certamente shows the funky house side of Zannini (well he is Italian!). Phantasmeano delivers a beauty of a remix. Gentle, precious, simply gorgeous it surrounds you and captures your body completely as the bass kicks in - best of all, the Phantasmeano remix is for vinyl lovers only.

Dave is part of the european dance scene since almost 20 years now, on dance floors and behind the decks. After releases on labels like Bpitch Control, Serialism, Get Physical, Exone, and many others, he started a new project under the name OGNI last year together with Tobi Neumann and Saktu from Russia. The first release came out on the Spanish imprint Oblack Label as a vinyl only EP, now the boys release their next one on Berlin’s Mobilee Records. Vega's roots have always been somewhere between House and Techno - that's what he plays and still drives him after almost 2 decades of electronic music experience.
