I Knew

Been a While

Imaging lying on a grassy hill on a warm, clear and star filled night sky, catching fireflies, watching for meteors and hoping that mysterious light next to Jupiter is an alien spacecraft bringing good tidings to our troubled humankind.

Created on a ONLY a 2013 Dell laptop using the Nano Studio app. All sound is created by making my own waveforms or altering existing ones within the app with the exception of the drum loop by Pro Sessions and crickets I stole somewhere online many years ago.

Stargazing

As the title suggests, and as you listen, think of a “just because” gift, fixing the bike of a child, or a warm embrace. I suggest listening through a stereo or headphones, I do not recommend a phone speaker.

An Act Of Kindness

February in the Pacific Northwest can get rather drear, the short sunless days and constant icy rain mixed with snow, the muddy grime covered cars with their grim drivers evidently resigned to wait until spring to wash it all away, can make one reminisce of the sunny days and warm nights of summer.

This song is a result of my insomnia-riddled mind working til dawn on my old laptop with its processor so hot I imagine that it could melt steel. Using only Nano Studio, the tune has plenty of glitches, gaffes and off-tune instruments, but the idea is to bring out ideas for music that, when I finally do get a Kurzweil or equivalent, I'll be able to make something listenable.

Until then, hope you can sit through this one. Your comments are welcome as a means of constructive criticism.
