Natacha Veen, illustratrice-graphiste basée à Genève et fondatrice de la marque de créations textiles Let me fly, investit l’espace The Square pour la seconde fois à l’occasion d’une expo-vente intitulée « Don’t forget to decorate », du 1er au 11 octobre, en plein centre de Genève.

L'illustratrice voue une admiration pour la faune et la flore, plus particulièrement les oiseaux, qu’elle a eu la chance d’admirer plusieurs années dans son pays natal, le Brésil. Ses illustrations, sérigraphiées ou imprimées, sont reproduites sur divers supports tels que le papier et le tissu.

*Dont’t forget to decorate* rend hommage à la décoration à travers l’illustration figurative. Par l’interprétation de différents thèmes tels que les éléments de fonds marins, les plantes, les femmes ou les oiseaux, Natacha Veen créé un univers à part entière qui permet de s’évader dans un monde à part. Chaque illustration contient sa propre ambiance et
transmet un message unique aux spectateurs.

Dix jours durant, dans un espace entièrement revisité par l’illustratrice, vous aurez l’occasion d’y acquérir des pièces en série limitée de Prêt-à-porter, de papeterie ainsi que des sérigraphies de ses illustrations. Si vous souhaitez une illustration particulière, il vous sera possible de lui soumettre votre idée. Un vernissage en musique est prévu le mercredi 1er octobre 2014 dès 18h.

Eigentlich solltest du heute hier bei uns sein. Eigentlich sollten wir mit dir lachen, mit dir anstoßen, Kuchen essen und dich feiern. Alles mit dir, unserem Geburtstagskind. Stattdessen sind wir alleine, in unserer Mitte und vor allem in unserem Herzen fehlt ein so wundervoller Mensch. 

Wie gerne würde ich dir auf die Schulter klopfen, wie das große Brüder so machen. Wie gerne würde ich dir persönlich gratulieren. Wie gerne würde ich dir dieses Set schenken, damit du es mit deinen Freunden hören kannst. 

Das Schlimmste ist, dass wir einfach nichts ändern können. Das Einzige, was wir tun können, ist so laut die Musik aufzudrehen, damit du es im Himmel hören kannst. Auf dich anzustoßen und daran zu denken, wie wundervoll es ist, dass du geboren wurdest und wir dich kennen- und liebenlernen durften.
