One of the best known Hunters and Collectors tracks, Throw Your Arms Around Me has been released three times as a single. The 1984 single version is rare and can be found on the Spare Parts album (in the Horn of Plenty box set or purchased as a digital album). The 1986 version can be found on the Human Frailty album and the 1990 version on the Collected Works album (Australian versions - now out of print). Here we include the live version featured on the Natural Selection 'best of', which originally appeared on the Under One Roof live album.

"Don't Use Me Up" was among the first songs written for the album some time ago during a time of particular abandon. I joke that it's a song about whiskey, friendship and Jesus, but in truth it was an s.o.s. to myself, to my future self, to people I loved, intended to remind us that the body is finite.  As time passes so grows the meaning of the song and I now think most often of the finiteness of the planet when I sing it.  The recording is one shade shy of a gospel hangover with all the instruments tempted to come off the rails when things get too quiet.

Don't Use Me Up

Those of you who have been following us for some time know that once in a while we like to switch things up. We've done everything from laid-back indie dance tracks to glitchy moombahton, melodic hip hop and whatever other genres we care to make up (see: "Die Happy"). 

For our latest record, we aimed for the dancefloor with our take on a classic piano house track entitled "All I Need". We wrote it last year with London-based singer Beth Aggett who is just amazing tbh. Seriously, check her out! The song is about becoming stronger after a breakup that ended badly but ultimately made you more complete.

We chose to put this one out with a record label (Thrive Music) for the additional support. For that reason we can't give it out for free but if you like the song we hope you'll support it anyway.

10 Years ago I was invited to play on this bus called Robot Heart by my good friend Swamy at Burning Man.  We were on the bus and I remember it would continuously break down but we didn't care because we were a bunch of friends doing this for the love of music and we had no idea this bus would become the magical Robot Heart bus that we all have come to love the past ten years.  Every year my set at Robot Heart has become one of  the most integral parts of my journey at Burning Man.  This is my gift to the playa and to each one of you and it comes straight from my heart.  We come to Burning Man to search about humanity and love and to be good to others around us and the bus helps us deliver this message through our music.
