Chicago guitarist Dave Cavalier's playing style has been compared to guitar icons Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn, a powerful and inspired mix of blues roots with contemporary rock, and when at his best, he sounds like nothing so much as a natural hybrid of both the past and the future of the blues. 

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Cavalier first began playing guitar at the age of 10 grabbing instruments off the walls of the music store his father owned when he was young. Eventually, after cutting his teeth in various bands throughout high school, Cavalier directed his talents toward the East Coast, moving to Boston, MA at the age of 18 to attend the world renowned, Berklee College of Music. It was there that Cavalier began to hone and explore his individual playing style and songwriting abilities. It was in Los Angeles, CA, however, where he would launch his performing career full tilt. An incredible live performer, Cavalier became an instant draw in the local Hollywood music scene as a solo artist after moving west in 2010 at the age of 23. He dedicated his talents for over two years as guitarist for the electro pop rock duo, STAMPS, touring nationally & frequently being featured on popular websites & blogs, such asPerezHilton.com. But Cavalier was far from just a one-trick pony guitar for hire. In 2014, his passion for singing, writing, and arranging brought him to the famed EastWest Studios, formerly Cello Studios, to record his debut solo record, "HOWL," with producer & Grammy nominee, Hal Winer. Set to be released independently in early 2015 on his own label, AudioFrame Entertainment, "HOWL" seamlessly blends the raw energy of his wildly impassioned & emotive live sets with the articulate hand of a skilled songwriter. Deemed "LA Blues" for its lyrical references to the unique tribulations of life in Hollywood, Cavalier has created a niche in a landscape of disposable music & entertainment that is decidedly individual.
