Youve done a marvellous job here David of getting some of the haunting drama of 1940 operation Dynamo down using modern tech/instrumentation. That screaching synth sound from the beginning, then dropping it out to the more peaceful, "Dont wanna be a coward" is an example. One of my best buddies Grandfathers, who lived close to where I live now, was one of the many that took his small fishing boat across the channel to rescue as many of our stranded boys as he could. Got a medal for his actions as well, my mates a very proud Grandson. Great stuff fella.

You’ve captured the ominous emotion that must have prevailed during that daring mission.  Love the hypnotic industrial textures here David.  Excellent!

In The Midst Of The War

My latest song, Empire, was born from the haunting Dunkirk beach scene—young soldiers lined up in silence under the blazing sun, waiting. No speeches, no music—just the weight of dread. Their stillness felt like bravery. Above, RAF pilots fought unseen, alone in the sky, risking everything for those below. The song emerged as a sound collage, built from simple chords and evolving textures that captured the quiet courage and tension I felt. It’s a sonic reflection of that liminal space—between fear and hope, action and stillness.
