This time, I played one of Led Zeppelin's signature songs, "Stairway to Heaven," on a nylon string electric acoustic guitar.
This song is included on Led Zeppelin's fourth album. The album sold over 29 million copies worldwide and was certified platinum in the United States.
Like all guitarists who consider themselves avid Led Zeppelin fans, I love this song and often play it lightly when tuning my guitar. I omitted the effect processing and simply adjusted the volume and uploaded it. I noticed that it sounded more boosted than when recording the chord strokes in the second half. Since it's a Led Zeppelin piece, I thought it might not be a bad idea to listen to it in this condition.
Personally, I hope that everyone can feel that the nylon strings (end type) that come with the two electric acoustic guitars fit perfectly into the guitar itself.
Winter is over in Japan, and we are about to enter the spring season, but I chose this piece as the final part of this winter's nylon string solo performance series. After this, I'm starting to look forward to the possibility of using a nylon string guitar to complete some of the collaborative pieces that I've been unable to complete.

(KARAOKE) Enigma - Retrun To Innocence

Well, let’s see…. Glad you dropped by because you get to listen to some dobro, on a new, very different version of ‘By The Sea’. https://soundcloud.com/lammbone/living-by-the-sea . When I first penned out the lyrics, there was so much going on thematically. ‘Alligator’ adds some of the original lyrics that were left out first time around as the saga continues. I had melded together experiences from my 67 years of living by cherry picking events and blending them into a singular situation, which would have make for a long song in its totality, that by nature, I shy away from, unless I am jamming. Haha. What does this all mean? First off, as an old man who finds himself reminiscing and daydreaming, there are some cathartic moments to be had in hindsight of one’s life. Looking back momentarily in the rearview is a prudent way to temper the trajectory of one’s life, especially if it has been a rocky road. Another facet of this is a personal extrication from a life one has been living, to find another way more suitable to one’s existence. In other words, the changes we make in our life to survive. There is also some grief and regret, that melt away over time. So maybe several more songs are on the horizon that elaborate on these experiences and what they mean to me. Hope you like this song. The Chorus has a psychedelic vibe to it but with its own unique twists and turns.  I tried not to box myself into corners with my lyrics and used a very open ended process to my word smithing.  I felt know need to present you anything too "air-tight" in terms of story or arrangement.  This is what I love about song writing. I toss up ideas (the crazier the better) and see what happens.  Once I have a kaleidoscope of working pieces I gently mold them into forms that contain loose tendrils of cohesiveness and meaning but only just barely.  This is one of those song's I created with no preconceptions or creative borders and I just let my mind go where it wanted to.  Sometimes this works and sometimes it is a disaster.  In this case I arrived at something I liked enough to share with you.  

Never mind that Dave, what is the song about?  

It has something to do with the excruciating beauty of a sunrise.  It has something to do with love.  It has something to do with how quickly time moves forward.  It has something to do with how impermanent everything really is (including us).  It has something to do with how lucky we are to be the tiniest spark of a flame witnessing this miracle before us for the most minuscule parenthesis in time.  It has something to do with stepping out of my self imposed cage, and yet not running away and hiding.  It has something to do with staring this beautiful, wild catastrophe of existence right in the face and enjoying the ride.   Far Out Dude. Now go put your favorite tie dye shirt on, grab a cup a coffee and listen to my song : )!   Groovy Man…..Will Do!
