Single Set Tributes / Re-Mixes

34 years ago, "the man like" DJ Sasha played his regular Saturday night slot at The Eclipse in Coventry. what no-one knew was the recording would go on to be renowned as one of the most iconic sets ever, still being mentioned and played all over the world. I still play the set at least once a week, as its my personal fave.
For this mix, i have taken the exact tunes used by Sasha on the night and rearranged them into a new sequence. Hope you enjoy listening, as much as i did creating.......

Last year we lost one of the most talented & beloved Jungle DJs. DJ Randall was one of the UK circuit's most accomplished DJs playing week-in, week-out across the country at all of the top clubs and big raves. His residency at AWOL @ The Paradise Club, though, is one he may be most remembered for, playing upfront Breakbeat & Jungle, with an amazing consistency. I have taken the tracks from his Live In London 93 Vol 4 tapes and rearranged them into a new mix, for your pleasure. RIEP Randall McNeil, you are forever in our hearts..................

Over 6 years ago, I was requested to pay homage to one of the finest sets of 1992. "Top Buzz @ Amnesia House - The Book Of Love". The set was never released, after a naming dispute.
Following the unexpected passing of one of the finest DJs the scene has ever had, I renamed the mix for upload, simply as a tribute to Jason Kaye. Rest In Peace, Brother..............

Jason Kaye - The Book Of Love Re-Mix

Hi, i'm Dave, from Coventry, and i started djing way back in 1990, while still at school, inspired by legends Sasha and Carl Cox after listening to sets, given to me from older friends!

 I spent a lot of my time during the early 90's at the legendary club Eclipse, in Coventry, where i met lots of fantastic people including some of the finest dj's around at the time, doing a couple of sets in Marco Polo, Birmingham. I also ventured across the midlands, clubbing wise, to places including Shelleys, Institute and Coast 2 Coast.

 After 5 years, i fell out of love with the scene, seeing as it was changing and not to my liking, to be honest and in 1995 i gave up raving and djing. Kept my vinyl, though, just in case!!

 Got back into it in 2006 after listening to online radio playing a lot of oldskool, and thought i'd give it another go. Not had the confidence to play out again, since but you never know.....
