70’s funk is definitely making a comeback.

Destiny II - “Play 2 Win” is a brand spanking new piece of original boogie-style house featuring a whole host of live players and all carried along by a driving live bass line. Vocals come courtesy of New York soul diva Angela Johnson, who nails this positive song. Dave Lee adds his incredible production talents teasing in some Prelude Records style modulating synth sounds in the second half of the tune. Add some vocoder and dub fx in all the right places and you’ve got something that might just rock your disco socks off.
