The 10th entry into the Heat Rock catalog boasts a duo of uptempo, Dancefloor-friendly remixes with slinky, upright basslines and a B-Boy flair. Altered Tapes’ (Chicago) remix of 90s Diva classic features heavy percussion and a massive breakdown, while King Most (Bay Area) flips a Disco acapella, and adds a touch of Jazz-meets-James-Brown breakbeats. Copping doubles is highly recommended!

The artwork for this series was designed by talented Mike2600 of BRLSQ, and inspired by vintage 7inch factory sleeve designs. The limited edition 45s include custom cover art and colored vinyl. (A black wax version with a different label color scheme will be available mid-August).

Bruce and I have established a weird tradition. He comes swooping in close to deadline with these compilations and every time delivers a track of blinding beauty and quality. 
Bruce does the most potent reworks and has a style completely his own. 
Apart from that, AND DJing, Bruce runs his radioshow/podcast Recluse Radio, which is one of my favorite shows on the planet. I asked him about where he got the moniker The Loneliest Hunk, and he replied: “oh it’s a funny story really….” never getting back to me on it. At this point I assume it’s his dashing good looks being locked on New Zealand all alone, with DiCE_NZ.

"Italo"/Australian , DJ/Producer & Remixer based in Australia, Dave Mathmos, began hitting the ground running in the music realm in the 80th, and since that time has manifested into a versatile and multifaceted artist with his own signature sound and stylization. Known for his widely authentic blend of genres like Disco, Funk, Soul, Deep House, Italo Disco and Nudisco, Dave’s journey into music began in the producer’s chair where he started tackling an array of productions with House & Deep House tracks, and quickly began solidifying a style that shares equal parts originality and familiarity, giving his audience a taste of something fresh yet still identifiable. 
 
After several years of honing his craft and putting together a solid chemistry in his musical approach, Dave’s name became more familiar throughout his scene and began garnering positive reception throughout his scene. Currently, he has been releasing music with several Australian and European labels, as well as DJing in both continental scenes as well. His most notable work has been his edits and remixes that include nostalgic songwriting arrangements, grooves, and an innovative modern style that has successfully expanded his artistic merit in contributing his important work for both the Australian and European markets.  
 
On top of remixes, he has been crafting together his own material as well, orientated to several modern touches to deep house, balearic and nudisco to the wide spectrum of electronic music.
