Dialectics (n.) – The art of investigating or discussing the truth of opinions. The discourse between two people holding opposing viewpoints view but trying to establish a common truth through reasoned discussion.

Born out of the renowned, best-selling Yin : Yang label concept, musical discourse is brought to life through the meticulous choices of Tripp Baronner – DJ, curator and full-time member of the Proton team. Presenting “Dialectics,” a monthly show airs on Proton Radio and DI.fm showcasing the finest underground music talent in two contrasting but inextricably linked hours.

Part 1 sees Yin thematically represented while Yang is juxtaposed through Part 2. Intimately interconnected while fluid by design, resident hosts alternate and interchange with guest artists to create a dynamic dialectical discourse.

'Cloud Garden' is our exciting new Mix Series concept where we invite our friends and those who inspire us musically to showcase their talents with guest mixes from around the world.

Continuing our new mix Series is Around Us from The Netherlands.
Around Us is a DJ / producer duo from Amsterdam, The Netherlands who are making serious waves since 2018.

Working diligently day in, day out, growing and developing their style. Respected by their colleagues and admired by the people who consume their music on the dance floor. This is Around Us. The boys quietly joined forces, without fanfare or noise and they produced since that time lots of productions. Today in 2022, all the key players know Around Us.

With the world’s top DJ’s such as Sasha and Hernan Cattaneo playing their productions, the future looks bright for Around Us. Sasha hammered their "Absentis" track and Cattaneo regularly aired productions such as Sleeping Blue, Bamboo, 8 Steps and United in his DJ sets and podcasts.

In their own words, Around Us is “about melody”. Jan said “We look for the melodies”. However, we do not label ourselves progressive house or melodic techno. Gaby has a slightly sunnier melodic vibe than me, I tend to go more darker in my melodies. Above all, Around Us always remains deep”.

With a release list way too long to fit into this bio, stand out tracks have surfaced on some of the world’s leading labels such as TRAUM, Mango Alley, Manual Music, Iconyc and Click Records.

With true dedication to music, these guys are set to continue making waves further into 2022.

BIO
D-Vox has been spinning the wheels of steel for just over 20 years, and has been influenced by artists across genres and eras. From mixing hard dance in her bedroom inspired by Tiesto, she now explores house, techno, dnb, disco, breaks, and more. D-Vox is also a versatile vocalist/lyricist, and has developed a unique ability to accompany instrumentals within her dj sets with her complimentary, live vocals. She is also now becoming recognised for her abilities in the studio with an impressive, and ever-growing collaboration portfolio, releasing under her real name of Daniela Rhodes.

Up until the start of 2020, D-Vox hosted live radio solidly for 5 years on Bournemouth’s No.1, community internet radio station, Afro*disiac Live Radio, and has enjoyed previous, lengthy slots hosting on Southampton's Voice FM 103.9, and Germany's Progressive Beats Radio. Over the last few seasons, party people on the bustling strips of Aiya Napa and Ibiza have been dazzled by her enchanting dj performances, as have the holidaymakers at Ozen By Atmosphere luxury resort in The Maldives, where she spent three months enjoying the sunshine and setting the musical mood.

As well as being heavily involved in the practical side of music, Daniela is also a keen writer, and has been the passionate copywriter for well established progressive labels Flemcy Music (since 2018), and Findike Records (since 2020).

With a steadily filling diary of gig bookings and guest mix invitations, and with new collaborations already lined up for release in 2023, Daniela 'D-Vox' Rhodes has her foot firmly on the gas towards achieving her potential, whilst she continues to surprise audiences worldwide with her versatility, dedication, and determination to share great music and positive energy as far and wide as she can spread it.

Dave’s love for dance music began in the early 90’s and in 2000 he bought a pair of Technic 1210's which he still owns to this day. Dave practiced for many hours, perfecting the art of mixing vinyl and eventually playing at the local club on Saturday nights. He would avidly follow the top trance DJ’s like Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond and as his passion grew so did his collection of vinyl.
As the digital age become more popular, he reluctantly put his 1210’s to one side and bought a pair of CDJ2000’s. He also made the transition from trance to progressive house music.
In early 2020 Dave and Steve started their own radio show Tribu’ Sessions currently aired on Saturo Sounds.
Dave is continually tracking down the very latest sounds and has recently turned to deep progressive house and techno as he looks for new inspiration. 
Since April 2021, Dave has appeared on Plethora Muzik’s Alchemy Show broadcasted on Istreem Radio showcasing his take on deep progressive house music form labels such as Balkan Connection, Droid9, Mango Alley, Meanwhile, Movement Recordings, Soundteller, Superordinate Music, Transensations Records.
