Strangest of Days (Mini LP Preview)

An early influencer of Dave Richards was Steve Lawler. His Dark Drums 2 mix compilation was in Dave's CD player for several years. That sound greatly influenced his own dark sound from his earliest productions through today. Love & Grace is a loose reflection of that early 2000's influence. 

The driving toms, dark brooding baseline and sparse synth lines of the original combine not to make a peak time track, but a solid early opener or late-night deep mover. J Lauda comes in with a deep progressive remix that will make most progressive house cats jealous. Rounding off the release is remix from Samuel Zamora and Yered Ponce. This full-on techno groover will back dancefloors and is ready for prime time. 

All three mixes come to you live and direct from the underground. All you must do is reach out and embrace them.

Dave Richards - Love & Grace (Original Mix)(Free Download)

Dave Richards is a man of multiple worlds. He was born just outside of Chicago but grew up in the South. He became a lover of electronica during the early 80’s thanks to a few well-known movie soundtracks (Chariots of Fire and Tron to name a few), but he didn't fully embrace it until the early 90’s while under the influence of artists like Moby, Oakenfold, Timo Maas, Steve Lawler, Medway and more. Today, his influences have expanded to include Saeed Younan, Chus & Ceballos, Robert Hood and Green Velvet. His all-time favorite record label is and always shall be Hooj Choons. Of course, his own MK837 label is a close second – which has over 300 releases as of early 2022. 
As a producer his loyalties are torn between Chicago house sound and a much darker force infused by Atlanta, GA’s urban flavors. Usually, it’s that darker force that wins out in his productions. Unrelenting percussion, techie baselines and progressive top ends comprise the signature sounds of a Dave Richards’ production.
