This is one of a 5 1/2 hour set from the Lilith night at Club Eleven in Tokyo... one of my favorite clubs in the world right now.  The mix is several movements of techno and tech-house from current to unreleased to from-the-vault jams i have been digging up from my collection.Thanks Mio and Yuko at Eleven and big thanks to John Digweed for once again having me on the show!

Another hour from a 6 hour set at a Blk Market Membership warehouse in November 09.  Autobrennt Podcast 013 is a much later hour from that night... and this is an EARLIER hour. 

This night was really special for me and that feeling was punctuated by Blk Market Membership declaring it as "The best set of 2009 for us" in their end of year wrap-up on Rhythmism.com.

With the scene and stage having been set by Herbie Saccani at Hacienda NYE at The Albert Hall, the one true innovator Marshall Jefferson took to the stage in the run up to midnight at the event, the first up of trio of US DJ legends performing that evening.

Given an hour to play the best of MJ’s modern and classic working it house music, his stylings include syncopated vocals and such tricks as he begins with some deep downbeat dirty grooves, punctuated by strong female vocalsm following an anthemic New York party style  for the night with tight us club material. 

Moving towards electric dubs and oldschool samples with the bumping groove of Mark Knights and  Martin Ten Velden Remix of the space aged “In The Beginning”, a change of pace comes with what many people have said was their highlight of the night Joes Smooth’s “Promised Land” with a long mix out into the charging piano dub of Marshall’s own classic “Move Your Body”, weaved in and out by the very hands that produced it.

Continuing along with the theme with a couple of classics, the extended vocal intro of C And C Music Factory’s anthem “Pride (A Deeper Love)”, Strictly Rhythm’s “Deep Inside” by Harddrive, Marshall then takes things more Balearic with Junior Jack’s re-working of Dajae’s “Everyday My Life” before taking things deep and disco to the end of his set with Adeva Vs Nathan Rivers “In And Out (Of My Life).

With MJ handing over to Frankie Knuckles at midnight, The Jackson Sisters “I Believe In Miracles” gets a room shaking run out before Marshall takes things to the bridge with a Basement Jaxx cut, “Samba Magic” from the Summer Daze EP.

My first continuous mix in about 15 years! Absolutely loved it and really got into the groove. The mixing  is RAW - but still worth a listen I reck. I love the whole Phuture / Adonis / Jamie Principle bit. Can't wait to dig out more records and get some more mixes going :)

Technically not correct to label this a 91/94 mix. Not when it includes Dennis Ferrer Son of Raw (2005) BUT the rest of em' are from the 91/94 era. The mix includes amazing sounds from Nuff Sisters, Byron Stingily, David Morales and Those Guys (wow! what a record!!!) Whilst these may not be considered the biggest tracks, personally I love this stuff. Certainly this mix got me kitchen boppin' proper stylee!!!

Here's an hour long live recording of from a very special "Sup3fr3q" warehouse party with Mr. C in Dallas, Texas in October 2011.   I submitted the mix to the monthly Proton Radio show Circular Sound Radio for it's January 2012 installment.
