Yes it's been raining here in sunny la, but I've always felt like this tune transcends the weather. The first time I heard this song it was the first summer I spent in la, and i remember making it my soundtrack to beginning my ventures on the gold coast. 
Like most, I was very taken back by the debut of rihanna and loved the pairing her and Jay-z. But I honestly felt that this song could stand the test of time, like a contemporary standard. Beautiful lyrics, simple effictive changes and the snare high hat combination I never believed came from garage band. I hope you guys enjoy this song as much as I do.
