A song dedicated to my sister, who triumphed over drugs, anger, and abuse in various ways. She shared with me how difficult it was to overcome these challenges and to watch her brother leave, never to be seen as a typical kid again. She mentioned that the voices in her head told her she wasn't enough: "I heard voices in my head urging me to give up and end my life, but Ernest represented hope for me." When I departed and everything crumbled within CFS, she remarked, "CFS is a system of abuse." They medicated me and forced me into actions I didn't want to take.
