Recent Neuropathy in Tommy’s feet may have scuppered his tap-dancing ambitions, inspired last year by talk of a step-dancing great aunt back in Leinster, whose dancing genes have passed to Tommy’s grandchildren. Fortunately, we sampled some of his taps before the illness and so, at the very least, can now play around with a few rhythm ideas. Here’s a version of Mozambique rhythm, associated with Steve Gadd of course, but we're following Dennis Mackler’s drumming as played ‘On Green Dolphin Street’. Hope Tommy's able to get those beautiful Bloch tap shoes back on one day. Feet don’t fail him now.
