I came up with the idea for this remix on an airplane as I was flying home into Chicago. The original is such a festival masterpiece with its constant builds and almost acid throwback synths, It hit me that it would be really cool to make a super turned up trap version with epic breakdowns. This remix is special.

Just to let you into a bit of the backstory, my friend Toph has been there since I started writing and producing music in 2007. I remember his words, encouraging me to dig in and get to work because anything is possible with hard work and big dreams. There were many times along the road where he told me to chill out when the process of learning brought me to a boil with frustration. When dead ends and discouragement hit, he was quick to remind me to keep my head up and believe I could do it.

I owe him a lot, and this remix is a tribute to what a legend he is as a friend and as a human being.

Also, the song he wrote with Mark Underdown is unreal. I have seen people lose their minds in the beauty and raw emotion of the music. Not going to lie, I never thought I'd get here, where I get to remix one of my good friend's best songs!

I've been on a trap kick lately; I made what my homies have been calling Heaven Trap, this big, spacious kind of 140 that is all about the feels.
