A remix I made of a track by the very accomplished and big friend of mine 'El Petit Jardi' around 3 years ago. Using the world middle-eastern sounds and melody from original I built a version using an array of dreamy and hypnotic synth sounds to create this remix. I hope you enjoy this. --Davey--

My 'gift' to Frank a.k.a. Platinum Butterfly for kindly creating a stonking remix of my UFO track at the beginning of this year. Now it's my turn and I've decided to completely turn Frank's 'Changes' track on it's head and produce my most energetic and hard-techno style remix to date. The original can be heard here:-

Platinum Butterfly - Changes (DJM remix)

My experiment with the Tech trance genre where I've composed a series of atmospheric loops and a slightly off-set trance lead to generate a certain atmosphere which I'm hoping you'll enjoy. The spoken word sample on this song is of the laureate Dante and was performed in Italian by Timbassman. Please feel free to rate this track and add your input.

My first "Star Track of the Week" on Dance Indsutries is a re-work of an original track made a year earlier on my 'Above The Plain' album with some small changes on the synth layout and overall mastering. Please feel free to listen and comment.

From Stonehenge to the Cosmos (re-edit 2008)

It's been around 21 months since I did a remix for someone but I was inspired by a great track by the Danish artist, Jon Skarin entitled 'Farligt Rollespil' which features here:- http://www.dance-industries.com/view_artist.php?ID=2383&track=16747 as a Star track of the week.

Differing from the quirky electro-folk sounds of the original I've built the lead elements around a mean driving bassline and quick-step beats to create altogether another feel this song. Although I've produced the song using Buzzmachines I've used the same Fruity Loop pad which Jon used in the original in parts of the track.

Finally I hope you enjoy the trip and look forward to your thoughts and comments on my remix.

Farligt Rollespil(DJM Bass-trip Remix)

My first interest in 'electronic music' was when I was 13 and brought my first record way back in 1985. This was Harold Faltermyer's "Axel F" on 7" vynil. Around this time I was still doing piano lessons but also I played an electronic (Bontempi) keyboard and drum machine to make simple pop compositions. I was also the keyboard player for a while in a school pop/rock band! At the turn of the decade my interest was geared to the hypnotic and detuned synth sounds of the 90's rave scene which was when alternative dance music really took hold of me. I started doing some compositions when I acquired a PC and used early versions of FruityLoops/Rebirth to do those. Then, my brother Timbassman (called that because of his talent at making bass and guitar loops!), showed me buzzmachines free music software. I mostly use this for making tracks together with various VST plugins, home made and imported sound samples.
