This song is a piano improvisation. 
I did not use my sequencer or computer. Everything on the backing track is me controlling my drum machine, while I play the piano live. The different tuned percussion sounds are from my Yamaha RX-7 drum machine. The Piano is my controller, and I am using it to play my harmonies on other synthesizers. It took me about twenty minutes to program the different tracks on the Yamaha RX-7, then I spent about fifteen minutes making different recordings with the ideas. This was take number one. Please enjoy !

This song is a piano improvisation. I made other versions with different melodies.

People I won't forget

An instrumental adventure creating a medley of cover melodies through out different time periods. Performed and Produced by David A. Lucas.

I had a good idea in my head of how I wanted this piece to sound before I recorded it.
I had written down the names of different songs I wanted to use through out the first  day. The next morning I recorded the songs in order on organ and piano. The organ, or piano that  you hear through out the song is all live from the first take, and used as background. This part took about thirty minutes. The next day I corrected the distance between songs, added percussions and a couple of synthesizers. I put the piece away for a few weeks before I  started listening to it. I then spent a couple more days mixing, and adding more synthesizers. I put more work into this piece then I normally do with a home recording. But I am happy with the final product.
