Fallen over into the night 
Where real life is supposed to be
People tend to lose their masks 
And show you what they really mean
A crowded room full of sorrow
Disguised with glitter and joyful hair
Another colourful drink to swallow 
And your mind will soon forget

Strobing lights hit the floor
A rush of blood through my head
I'm stuck up against the wall
Waiting for it all to end
Amidst all the commotion I watch
A runway of vanity 
I fall oppressed to my own thoughts
Hoping deliverance will come to me

A sidewalk drenched with bowels
Another sign of the night’s excess
It’s time to throw in the towel
And reflect on what it all meant
Cooling down the long road home
Joyous laughter fills the air
A girl embraces her lover
While the loner sits on the bench 

The night bus comes to the rescue
The party’s almost done
Water splashes beneath the tires
And a swirly feeling keeps rising up
Everyone seeks common ground
A modern sense of fidelity 
A way to remain unscathed
From this world’s insanity

And we are falling over the streets with lies creeping everywhere
No more disappointing features are there to be scared
Dreams fulfil mind and soul but people no longer dare

Whispering familiar words she infuses hope where there was despair
My mind wishes to believe in what is not really there
You and me together was nothing but a foolish attempt
