Christmas Steve

I've been getting back into my acoustic guitar recently. I write most of my tunes on it anyway, sitting in the living room, likely annoying the family as I noodle around. This one started as a small smolder and then burst into a full song just as the title implies. Like most people here, I expect, there is a fire that burns within us... for some it may be right out on the surface. When I was younger (not that I consider myself old, just older (grin)), that fire consumed me. And while I have it under control now, it's still there... Well, take a listen and let me know if you can relate. Enjoy!

Here's a song I have been kicking around for quite awhile. It is an experiment to see how many disparate instrument parts I can lay down (especially in the verse)  and still have a cohesive tune. It's sort of like jazz in that regard... except it's not. It's really a story that I am sure every boy and girl have experienced. How persuasive can the boy be and how long can the girl hold out?
