Gudu Records continues a busy start to 2022 with Italian due Hiver’s debut for the label - a high-definition EP that draws on classic electro and techno, following the group’s acclaimed past releases for Curle Recordings, Bokhari and Deeplabs.

A record that both marks and celebrates Hiver’s 10 years of operation, ‘Wave Sliding’ wears its influences on its sleeve: lead track ‘The Initiative’ is a “tribute to Detroit’s Hi-Tech Funk of the early 2000s”, lead by the sort of ostinato bassline and legato strings that have become Hiver’s trademark. ‘Vapour’ and ‘Entangle’ continue the EP’s retro-futurist outlook, drawing on sci-fi imagery and themes of travel, while ‘Stateless’ looks to the “easy-trance” sounds of 90s dancefloors for inspiration.

Together, the tracks mark a perfect summary of Hiver’s vision of the dancefloor - bound together by vibrant colours and a starry-eyed, utopian nature.

Straight from the Brazilian concrete jungle, São Paulo, we welcome KAIR for a refined release full of fundamental groove and beats of Deep House, with the "Aquele Som” EP. Featuring a guest appearance by the singer and songwriter Odara, the young DJ and producer makes the listener dive into a sensual and lucid arrangement, like a message for those in love.

The remixer, on this occasion, could be none other than Ignacio. Through his sumptuous piano house, the artist gives his jazzy and soulful vision to KAIR's beats, proposing an even sunnier alternative to the original track. "Aquele Som" EP also features the minimalist drums of "Lofi Maloca", the project's second original mix, which sends us into deeper but still provocative ambiences.

For the 2nd release in their 30th year aniversary trilogy Transmat presents one of the most promising talents emerging from the electronic scene from Tel Aviv. 
Deep‘a & Biri try to fully introduce their sound from atmospheric hypnotic beats to banging acid dancefloor killers.
Deep‘a & Biri‘s connection with Derrick May started 7 years ago, when Deep‘a worked as an A&R for Club Barzilay, one of the important underground clubs in Israel at that time. 
They invited May to play in Tel Aviv and gave him a demo track at the dinner before the party, which was played by May only a few hours later at the club. Since then May keeps supporting Deep'a & Biri‘s project by frequently playing their music on his sets. On 2014 the boys, who grew up listening to early Detroit Techno music, manage to close the circuit and joined Transmat artists agency and played on their label nights around the world. 

The tracks on the EP has being slowly cooked for the past 3 years and been tested on multiple dancefloors and soundsystems. On their 4-track EP Echoic Memories Deep‘a & Biri try to to fully introduce their sound from atmospheric hypnotic beats to banging acid dancefloor killers. The tracks stand out with their dark and mashing beats, that make their way without compromise and with never ending dynamism through the dubby sound spaces or relentlessly push forward sharp acid lines. 
From these perspectives, the tracks‘ bass lines and also to some extent, the implemented superposed, endless synthesizer landscapes, both remind us of the early years of the Detroit Techno.
