The BuzZArd

     David Bowles was dancing when he was born.

Truly connected to music and at an early age,  a big fan of funk, disco and the likes of Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream, Alan Parson's Project, kraftwerk, JM Jarre & Herbbie Hancock.
 In  his teen years he sometimes played at house  parties using a turntable, 
cd player & double-cassette deck and no mixer.(sounds like fun..)
in 1988, As a 17 year old he was first introduced to mixed house music  through a british friend, and started collecting mixtapes himself and so learning and understanding the different kinds of dance culture according to where and when they were from,  techno,  house, rave or acid house.
It was only after moving to Prague in 1995 that he got his first decks and worked daily on his mixing. Hi first records were a blend of funky disco and latino rythms. A year later he was playing  in all of the city's best clubs : RADOST FX, ROXY, MECCA, DUPLEX and very soon bookings  from all around the Czech Republic & Slovakia were popping up.
He's been as far as Peru, Israel or France to pack small dance bars or big venues like Elyssee Montmarte(after GROOVE ARMADA), Folies Pigalles or Utopia in Lima.
To get his hands on the freshest music, in 1998  he also starts  "RELEASE RECORDS" , 
a vinyl shop with music coming from  the UK, France & U.S.A.
He played with a variety of international talent in clubs, big venues or outdoor festivals, to this day his favourites are Doc Martin, Joeski, Eddie Richards, D'julz, Terry Francis, Paco, Sandy Rivera, Nathan Coles, Laid Back Luke, Jef K, Asad Rizvi, Richard Sen and Charles Webster.
In 2009 Dj Manio, the Deelite agency manager offered him a residency at the  TOURDEBAR parties (www.tourdebar.cz) .
A unique project taking place every month at a different city combining dj's and a bartending contest between the best clubs and bars of the most vibrant cities in the Czceh republic.
 The venues were sometimes big enough to hold up to 5000 people.
In may 2010 Prague had the pleasure to welcome French dj Paco  which was quite a success with about 3,500 happy clubbers  showing up, Paco & David played an unforgettable B2B set for this epic night.
Charlie 1 of Om Square was featured singing with David in most TOURDEBAR parties and together they created an exquisite sexy vibe on the dancefloor every time.
The Last time David visited Paris in February 2011 was  at the SHOWCASE CLUB for  OPEN HOUSE's Lorenzo Buittoni 40th birthday celebration which was an amazing success with 24 djs playing sets and up to 8 hands behind the decks !
YESPAPA ! crew and David are going to produce a monthly night at their  "to be opened" 
 club YES ! in Prague, April 1st  2011
the night called "120dB :: LOUD & CLEAR" will happen every last saturday of the month.
The crew at YES PAPA ! are mostly dj's and sound engineers  so they took upon themselves  to deliver an immaculate sound system which will probably be a first in Prague.
David's sets will stay mainly deep funky house for smaller floors and bouncy tech house for the bigger rooms, always with a slightly dark&dirty atmosphere usually satisfying clubbers and promoters all the same.
