last friday i was invited to play the closing at the Subios Records label Showcase at Goethebunker Essen and what can I tell? - It was a blast! 💥
Thanks a lot to the Subios gang for having me and to everyone who danced with me from 5 in the morning till end. I really enjoyed every single minute with you! 🙏
Unfortunately the recording crashed after the first half of my set, so I can only upload one of the two hours I played. Anyways, wish you as much fun listening as i had playing - be prepared for some sweet and dark Villain Techno!

“Animal Lust – Tribal Instincts” is a primal dance ritual reimagined for Gen Z nightlife. Inspired by the power and sensuality of wild animals, the album fuses Afrohouse drums, techno grooves, and cinematic orchestral textures into a hypnotic club experience. Each track channels the spirit of a predator or a sacred beast, turning the dancefloor into a jungle of lust, ecstasy, and tribal energy. A sonic tribute to instinct, passion, and the erotic wilderness within us all.

Gilbert Okorn, DJ and producer from Graz, Austria, joins the Free DL series with a juicy slice of Indie Dance.

His sound sits at the intersection of House, Space Disco and driving Techno, carrying a constant psychedelic edge. In his sets, he blends groove and atmosphere into a varied and immersive listening experience. He regularly performs at some of Graz’s most iconic venues, including Postgarage and Dom im Berg. Alongside his duo project kleinerDrei, he has brought his unique sound to clubs across Europe, including Renate Berlin, Flucc, and Sass in Vienna.

He is also part of the collective bitMalSchritt, through which he co-organizes the “tanzDochMal” Festival in Austria and curates a series of events in Graz.

Biografie:

David Bütow aka David Brixx, born in beautiful Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, only started making music in 2011. He got into it by chance through his friend. At first he just played for fun at home, but later he was driven to continue as he didn't know what kind of music he should make. A lot of time passed before he found the minimal genre. During this time, he had two small gigs. Slowly but surely, he felt the urge to try something else. But one day he found an amazing genre and he knew it from the very first second. David discovered minimal/techno with dark influences, where he has remained to this day.
