Liminality

There’s been a lot going on recently, and hitting the end of second year of this 💩 . It seems like everyone including myself is in an interesting state of wandering, reflection, and sort of limbo, waiting for what’s next. I’ve been seeing a lot of people around town going internal, with a long lost stare on their faces. I feel it, and am guilty of the same. We’re all wondering what’s next and looking at the horizon for answers. 

But it’s all got to shift soon. Everything comes in waves, so this trough is on its way up. 

This mix of some of my favorite abstract and ethereal tracks designed for a rainy day, time out in nature, or anytime you just need to stare out a window and feel it.

With sunny days ahead and the new year almost here, there’s light at the end of the tunnel and I figured today would be the perfect rainy inward sort of San Diego day to put this out.  Hope you likeyyy ❤️

Been collecting for quite some time to create under a new moniker, Invaded Order. Recorded late on a Friday night in my mountain loft on a mixer still sputtered with playa mud drops (and non-functional headphone ports), you're invited to dive into a revue of some of the more introspective and off-center tracks in this highly intentional curation. Gently bridging aural soundscapes, Invaded Order provides the space to get lost in the decoration of time and allows for several points of self-discovery marked, implicitly or explicitly, with an interjection and a question such as "Woah, how did we get here?"

Gather up your recent creative outlet and flow with me. Embrace the chaos, and let's journey inwards.

Wednesday morning was something else. DJ Tennis curated a full day of back-to-back sets on the Robot Heart bus, calling it Tennis Doubles. The highlight was the sunrise set with Simon, aka Bonobo. It was Simon’s first Burn and the rest is history. 🎾🌞❤️

In DJ Tennis’ words, “Robot Heart is family. When they asked me to curate the Wednesday lineup, I knew I had to bring Simon for his first Burn. That sunrise was pure magic playing side by side with an artist I deeply admire, as the desert came alive, felt like it was always meant to be. After more than a decade here, the Burn still takes my breath away like no other place.”
