With great sadness I announce the passing of my good friend, bandmate, and Soundcloud artist, mandolinist Patrick Howell.  Some of you knew of his valiant battle with cancer and supported him in prayer and the warmest of well wishes.  He succumbed to the disease July 17, 2023 surrounded by a loving family who helped usher him into the presence of the Lord Jesus.  Besides being a beloved friend and brother in Christ, he was also a muse for me, challenging me to take his little "ditties" and make them into songs.  I will be featuring those songs in the coming weeks in my "Spotlight", but for now I pay tribute to his life and talent with how he beautifully decorated this special song two years ago with his playing.  Rest in the sweetest peace my friend until the Lord awakens you.

This is what happens when I listen to Louis Armstrong again: I pick up my clarinet and start playing !  I'm using an A clarinet on this one , tried to play as a trumpetist (whish I was also BTW...  I did have a little try with my old bother's trumpet...but not there yet ! ) .  Anyway, I hope you like this little swing cooked up Home in New Orleans-style with a little help from  Ireal Pro !!
