Great back to back to back DJ session on the @dubsmugglers soundsystem at this year's @dimensionsfestival in Croatia, alongside @floatingpoints, Tom Smith from the ace Cosmic Slop night in Leeds, ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/211633616863/ ) all held together by the mighty MC Kwasi. Over the past 8 years or so we have had, along with Theo Parrish, the honour of playing the monthly residencies at a small basement club in Shoreditch, London with an impeccable sound system. After 20 years of operation, it was time to move on and close the doors on a place that has a lot to answer for in shaping modern club culture. To say this space along with the owner Ade’s singular vision was fundamental in our personal musical formation would be a complete understatement. 
 
On the day of their closing, manager Charlotte asked us if we’d put the system through its paces for the last time that the club would be open to the public. We set about packing the anthems from our respective residencies and on the night once the people were through the doors played 2 records in turn for the rest of the dance. We included tracks of our own and of friends that were made with that place in mind. Records like Daphni - Ye Ye and Four Tet - Pinnacles were made to first be played at Kieran’s nights there, and the Floating Points - Vacuum EP was born out of the CD-R night at the club, and its launch party was the trigger for Sam’s monthly residency.
 
We set this recording up just before the start of the night and unfortunately it distorts in places, but we make no apology for how joyfully noisy people get! The vibe in the room this night was typical of the club on any given night and we hope this recording captures just a fraction of the spirit of a Plastic People night.
 
A massive thank you from us to everyone that has come down to the nights over the years and supported our music there. We are truly humbled to have shared the music we love with people at this place, and your energy in turn has influenced the way we make music on an unfathomable scale. We also thank the bosses Charlotte Kepel and Ade Fakile for inviting us to the club and having faith in us over  these years! All the best for the future!

He grew up in Australia, where he learned to craft sets that are whimsical and left-field, evoking a sense of place. In 2013 he delivered us one of the most exquisite mixes you will ever find, a beautiful pastiche of tracks new and old expertly weaved together. Since then Joe has released music on labels ranging from All Day I Dream (alongside Jamie Stevens) to Manual Music and much more. Make sure to watch out for his upcoming release on our own Dawn Till Dusk imprint.

2009-2019 : Space mixes # 1 to 9. In 2009, I started mixing live ambient sets at my radio show, each saturday afternoon in Québec city. I don't think more than 6 people were listening (including my GF at that time) but later on, in 2011, I published the first one on Soundcloud : Space III. Now after 30 000 plays of them, I decided to make a best of mixing the best of them. The result is a spaced-out mix that might seriously soothe your mind & body. A few years back, my friend Otis did a mixtape called ‘a time for peace’. It’s an effortless mix of melodic & vocally driven music which became a source of some of my favourite records that I was yet to discover. There was never a tracklist for it, but over the years, have found them serendipitously in record shops and had a few joyful moments when finally the needle drops on one of the tracks from this mix!
The past week has given me an opportunity to reflect on some of the records that I return to constantly, can get lost in & consider something else for a while. I hope that perhaps someone out there might find something in here that opens their ears to something new, can get lost in and one day have that needle drop moment too! Thanks to everyone who put me onto these records in one way or another.

I´m thankful 4 being healthy, having a great family, good friends and enjoying hobbies. Thank u to all of u who share(d) the love 4 music with me. 

2020 was a special year, absolutely terrible 2 lose someone - especially because of the pandemic - but don't let your mood completely spoil because you missed something because of corona. Of course, the limitations weren't great at all, but look to the future with hope. Focus on what you can achieve positively.
