After the success of the first A-sides compilation in 2012, Adam Beyer has decided its time to release another. With Adam's stature steadily growing as one of the leading talents in the Techno scene and the rise of Drumcode, the standard of demo's that have been sent to Adam have been top notch. Adam has now decided to release two compilations with 10 tracks on each, both consisting of tracks that Adam has tried and tested. There are also new artists that have been invited to release on Drumcode for this compilation and others who are a staple in Drumcode's core family. Combining both old and new talents Drumcode have come up with something unique and distinctive to make this two-part compilation something extra special.

German duo Obscure Shape & SHDW drop three robust Techno tracks in their first full release on Rekids this May.

One of the most exciting acts in Techno today, Obscure Shape & SHDW are the founders of From Another Mind - the label and party series making waves in South-Germany. Aside from Rekids, where they remixed Radio Slave’s ‘Vision’ last year, the pair’s abilities in the studio have seen them invited by Slam for two separate remixes of Monoloc and Envoy on Soma, with more projects to be announced.

‘Himmel Und Erde’ is a cavernous cut boasting colossal kicks and skipping percussion before a tantalising melody comes into play. ‘Am Ende Der Welt’ is more deep and atmospheric in comparison, blending dusky percussion with echoing synths until ‘Gefallene Engel’ demonstrates syncopated drums and an otherworldly hook that conjure up a mesmerising aesthetic to conclude the release.

Slam continue their prolific activity in 2017 with their new 4 tracker, The Sanctuary EP. 

A year of relentless touring hasn’t stopped the Soma label heads from firing on all cylinders with each release, and this latest EP sees the duo turn up the heat once more.

The EP starts off with Conduction, a heady mix of crafted Techno and strong, tripped out melodic rhythms. The rigorous Rotation is up next and goes full tilt, drawing on the main sequenced tones to drive home a powerful and reactionary affair. Slam are always ones for creating great synergy within their releases and do so proficiently as the EP goes deeper with Convection. Subtle, modulating synths lead the charge and perfectly crafted percussive elements remain steadfast throughout. The duo close the EP with the title track Sanctuary. A vibrant, affair packed with pulsating tonality, as classic synthesis methods are used to immense effect.

Arriving as the third outing of Len Faki’s recently established non-profit platform LF RMX, these previously exclusive edits take on a raging classic by courtesy of Frankie Bones, godfather of the North-American rave scene.

The new Hardspace Mix bolsters up the characteristic vocal and synths for even more frantic effect but trades in the percussion for Faki’s signature assault of claps and hats. These also dominate the stripped-back Hardspace Tool, which carefully builds momentum only around the sirens and some seriously sizzling low-end rumble. Both of Faki’s personal mixes capture the orignal’s raw energy, yet manage to appear in both sleek but powerful presence.

As with all releases of LF RMX, the proceeds of this record will be donated to the Berlin charity project Straßenkinder e.V. to be used in actions against child poverty.

Shortly after the launch, Prague based record label Moving Pictures is back with its second release. This occasion marks the launch of release series named "Aeterna" that will be focused on exploration of deeper abstract & experimental sound direction with non-standard approach. 

Original track is a work of 2 producers - Inceptions and Nitrous. The track describes the moment in the life of one of the authors while moving from one neighbourhood of Prague to another - showing how change of living environment can affect person's worldview and senses. Authors have captured these experiences in a well-crafted, obscure track. 

Czech selector and skilful producer Silhouette brings uncompromising twist to the original track by adding his own palette of sounds & textures, and swaying the tune into even darker abstract landscapes. 

Remix of the original by label's own Täino is a bass-heavy melodic tune, notable by its rolling kick-drum patterns and rhythmic progression, complemented by melancholy induced pads & synths. 

Inspired by ethereal sunrises & distant lights.
