What does chiaroscuro literally mean?
light-dark
This is an Italian term which literally means 'light-dark'. In paintings the description refers to clear tonal contrasts which are often used to suggest the volume and modelling of the subjects depicted. Artists who are famed for the use of chiaroscuro include Leonardo da Vinci and Caravaggio. I have tried to translate that to music and created this piece. It goes from dark moody vibe to eventually a bright one. Enjoy!

As a colleague rightly put it, Kraftwerk meets Prodigy in this version. 🤣

The first Kraftwerk song I heard in my life was "Pocket Calculator", on a TV program when I was about 10 years old. Of course, at that age, I had no idea how revolutionary this German band was. They created electronic music as we know it today.

In the 1970s, Kraftwerk built their own musical instruments, drum machines and vocoders; they edited the music rolls by cutting with ordinary scissors and gluing with ordinary glue; and they performed as if they were robots -- they even used mechanical dummies dressed as them in their performances. 

Some consider Kraftwerk to be the most influential band in history (and I agree).

The Projj was no ordinary vessel; it was a marvel of innovative engineering designed for the most daring expeditions. Its journey began in The Deep, where the darkness of the ocean concealed mysteries untold. Equipped with the state-of-the-art submersible, the Brothers' Projj embarked on a mission to explore the abyssal depths, uncovering new meanings and hidden wonder of the deep world.

As the goodship Projj ascended towards the surface along the coast, the crew marveled at the transition from the still blackness to the azure blue of the shallower waters. They collected samples of marine harmonics, their discoveries filling the vessel's laboratory with excitement and awe.

But The Projj's adventure was far from over. Its next destination was an audacious one the desert. The vessel was specially designed to navigate multiple terrains. Water and sand posed no threat, as it emerged from the ocean onto the sandy shores, its wheels deployed, and it transformed into a land-going explorer.

With the desert stretching endlessly before them, The Projj's crew prepared for a new chapter of their journey. They set out across the arid landscape, equipped with advanced sensors and tools, seeking to uncover the secrets hidden beneath the shifting sands. The vessel's mission was a testament to human curiosity and ingenuity, proving that The Projj was more than just a ship; it was a conduit to the world's most enigmatic and uncharted realms.
