We are thrilled to present you the first full-length album by Xavier Fabre and Bibiana Graeff aka Xique- Xique! 

Following the flow of their first “Xaxoeira“ EP (which means „Waterfalls“ in Portuguese, but spelled in a poetic way) the Album sets an artistic landmark at „Na Lagoa“ (At the Lake).  

The 10 album tracks were composed during the last three years between Istanbul, Bangkok, and Heliodora (Brazil). Especially from this tropical haven, you will find plenty of field recordings throughout the album, like the bird called „Siriema“ in the same-titled track. Besides the Xique-Xique trademark sound featuring crispy beats, organic percussions, bell-like synth sounds, and a lot of love for the detail you will find Bibiana herself as well as Bruna Takasse (the voice of „Xaxoeira“) on Vocal duties.  „Na Lagoa“ is structured as Dawn, Midday, Nightfall and Midnight, and invites you to spend the day at an imaginary lake. In the water, you feel the warm synth textures enclosing you just before cascades of arpeggios start to drop into your ear. Once on the other bank, you wander around and observe the fantastic flora and fauna: dubby effects fly by like surreal bugs, mesmerizing synth themes roaming the scenery like bewitched wild animals that welcome you in a dreamlike future-jungle-fantasy.

With friends and cohorts like these, you can't be sad for long. After the longest and best-ever and final closing, the saddest, best-ever and most personal record on the Bar25 label is here. As pure dumb numerical luck would have it, it is - naturally - the 25th release. And, we're almost proud to say, it's strictly family business. The closing record speaks more to the spirit of the Bar than any words, spoken or written, ever could. Every track unique yet well-rounded, somewhere between universal and personal. Awash with emotion, as though the sound machines had begun to breathe.
While everyone else was already in full swing and enjoying the last warm rays of sunshine, Dirty Doering was ensconced in the studio, tackling the difficult job of producing THE closing track on short notice. He succeeded. That's because Doering is on a roll. "bye bye bar25" is the track that was sent through all the speakers at the closing, and will remain in our ears and hearts from now on. 
The level of the challenge Doering faced becomes apparent when listening to what he had to measure up to: the soundtrack to the 2009 closing, Acid Pauli's "Abschied25". Adapted from a Bonnie 'Prince' Billy song, with the Bar in mind, this track made us happy and sad at the same time over and over again in the last year. The release of this track now, finally, is something of an inner opening party for us all.
Caspar spent most of this summer on duty at the backstage door, checking a neon rainbow of bracelets. Then he surprised everyone as Capey Cash with his own personal love song, "There Was A Bar". His aptly put lyrics and his rich voice in combination with the wistful sounds of trumpet and harmonica brought tears to many an eye - and nevertheless his track is full of hope.

It's filled with eight tracks and - as we like it - it builds a story with chilled but also driving & deep music.

As introduction you get a chilled Track by the experimental musician from Freiburg Lovvarion ( @lovvarion ). We like his collection of free downloads a lot and enjoy listening and remixing Songs from him from time to time.

It is followed by a slow & rousing track by one of our favorite live-musicians out of São Paulo, the Voodoohop member: EXZ ( @e_xz ). This one's with some nice experimental instrumental grooves and a calling to dance and enjoy the mood.

As a third member of our compilation we present you Stante Pede ( @stante-pede ), a young duo that has recently been presenting a lot of nice, deep & free tracks. We are hungry for more!

BLY aka Liam Soul's ( @liam-soul_aka_bly ) Track, filled with some great vocals, is the perfect track to enjoy mornings with. "Do not stand on my Grave, i am not there"

Next is a very deep & hypnotic groove by Vivian Hoecher ( no Soundcloud anymore ), who was also responsible for the mastering for our sampler. Thanks for that!

Knochiges Klangholz (now mikesch&Bobesch - @mikeschbobesch ), consisting of "Fuchur" & "Hans Klangholz", produce and perform live-sets with samplers, drum computers etc. This time they bring us a slow & deep trip through some reversed samples and groovy sounds.

Drums & groovy rhythms with experimental samples, some ethnic instruments and chilled sounds - this is what Mental Carnival ( @mentalcarnival ) has cooked for us, and we like it! "Ruhe" (Quiet) is a great journey! Enjoy.

As the final track of our sampler we'd like to present to you a very nice Trip-Hop Live-Musician: Calm Down ( @calmdown ). Her lovingly experimental music is full of emotions and will make you feel with it. She also released a new album, check it at her Bandcamp site: calmdownn.bandcamp.com/

This is the end, my friend. 10 LPs, 24 different artists, 61 tracks, almost 7 hours of music. With Stiff Little Spinners Vol. 9+10 we will release the last two volumes of the housey techno compilation series as a double 12” vinyl on 24/11/2017 via Hold Your Ground, Audiolith’s new sublabel.

The intention of Stiff Little Spinners was always to keep the party going and most of all to keep it interesting. With every new release, we introduce new artists and almost always new genres - shoo-bi-doo house, rumble tec, abrasive electronica, stress ambient, you name it! Stiff Little Spinners Vol. 9+10 showcases new and known talent from Hamburg to Berlin via Warsaw and Texas.

Side A
The first side of the four starts with Ben Böhmer and Antoni Sierakowski who get straight on it and pick you up with around 124 bpm and loopy hypnotic perfect deep house. We then slow down a little with Piotr Bejnar who gives us a dreamy slow-jam masterpiece that can only be described as the intonation of a summer longing daydream. The first side is definitely for the MDMA kids amongst you.

Side B
Side two starts off with Thomas Atzmann, who seems to only produce progressive house operas these days. This nine minute epos will take you on a trip through time and space, it tells a story of tension and precariousness. This leads us to Trummerschlunk who will tease his modular synths until you can’t differentiate what’s in your head and what’s real anymore. Gimmix picks you back up with almost classic house and a slightly wobbly-wonky bassline, so you don’t end up k-holing or anything! The second side is definitely for consuming ketamine to.

Side C
The third side of the compilation begins with old friend Kalipo who produces unnerving trancey techno to loose yourself in. Next up is Krink, mixing six or seven percussionistic sound elements with looped melodies and then taking them away from you and giving you more as he pleases. With this we move into the most technoid part of the compilation with Dylan Cameron. The analog production is maximal techno and the erratic third side is most definitely for the connoisseurs of the pure and unadulterated amphetamine.

Side D
We continue with Joney, as always he is hard to pin down to a specific genre. Jungley slow tec? Moody break house? Maybe it is techno, that is walking through a swamp. Next up is Simon Dübell with maximal electronica and a hint of 2006, but just the right amount for happy memories of being a carefree teenager doing two to three pills. This side is definitely pills by the way. In a way Deorbiting take us back to the beginning, slightly shamanic, boomy, but happy and ready for pure ecstasy. It’s all a circle, just like life, bla bla bla... Come party with us like it’s the last time. We promise it won’t be, though!

Having previously featured on Eskimo Recordings' 2018 compilation 'The Purple Collection’ as one half of Languages, Franz Matthews returns to the label alongside fellow Berliners Local Suicide with the 'Meditation / Tutan Jamon', 2 tracks of heady disco that join the dots between the German capital and the sun soaked souks of North Africa.
 
Despite living on the same street for 4 years Franz Matthews and Brax Moody and Vamparela from Local Suicide only met recently through their common friend Sam Berdah (Days of Being Wild, Club Bizarre). Making up for lost time, the trio soon found themselves bonding in the studio, digging into their love of both the esoteric and travelling, and together channelled those passions into 2 spiritually infused numbers.
 
'Meditation'was the first result of this inspired partnership, appropriately recorded at the same time that Matthews was also recording music for a meditation app, and features a freeform stream of consciousness from Vamparela over a suitably hypnotic backing of wistful guitars and breezy rhythms. 'Tutan Jamon' meanwhile shares its DNA with recent Eskimo releases by the likes of Simple Symmetry and SHMLSS, the track built around a couple of very Egyptian influenced riffs and comes in two distinct versions.
 
Between his production studio MOWD, his duo Languages, and his solo electronic project, Franz Matthews keeps himself busy. Making Berlin his hometown for the past 5 years, the Franco-German producer and DJ has always kept one hand in the Indie Dance world, while the other wanders in more Psychedelic Pop realms, a winning combination that's seen him release music on imprints such as Eskimo Recordings, Days of Being Wild, Rockets & Ponies.
 
Local Suicide, aka DJs and producers Brax Moody and Vamparela, meanwhile have made a name for themselves putting on some of the most infamous underground parties Berlin has to offer, running their acclaimed blog and still finding time to make waves with their productions, a wild fusion of new wave, acid, slow techno and post-disco that has seen them work with the likes of Rodion, Mijo and Curses in recent years.
