David Heartbreak Presents The Future of Hip-Hop In New Video For “Bonecrusher”

Fresh from having his track “Rose Colored Bass” remixed by Bassnectar and two well-regarded EPs released via Skrillex’s OWSLA label in the past two years, hip-hop’s face of electronic music David Heartbreak pushes ahead for more with new single “Bonecrusher.” 

In the video for the track, the future of hip-hop that Heartbreak is motivated by these days looks a whole lot like mind-bending body control and contortion by a solo breakdancer to the track in an incredible display. Regarding the clip directed by award-winning cinematographer Ambrose Eng, Heartbreak stated, “the video is about wearing a mask, and pretending to be something you’re not, taking off the mask and showing who you actually are.”

“Bonecrusher” kicks off the campaign for Heartbreak’s forthcoming 1st quarter of 2016 album project entitled #YAYV, Which Stands for Your Art, Your Voice. This is the first installment in a series of three similarly titled videos produced by Eng and Heartbreak that will be released prior to the album. Not one to just stop at videos and new music, there’s also promise of something more regarding a label that fits in the general creative direction of the album project. Heartbreak promises more soon as it relates to his ambitious plans for the future.
