Stepping into the stones’s and sediments perspective: being exposed to the elements for ages and excavated, listening to the meandering tales of mankind.

Sôen Nakagawa was a key figure in the transmission of Zen Buddhism from Japan to the Western world. His teachings emphasized the importance of direct experience and the integration of Zen philosophy into everyday life.

Recorded sounds provide a rich and extensive palette of colors and textures.  I like to glean what I can from single short samples of sound.  I particularly like squeaks and creaks.  Lately, I've become enamored with the enormous selection of vinyl records available on archive.org.
