Every year Feral One opens up their demo submissions for a brief window, and only for Seattle area producers. It’s the world's window opportunity to hear who and what is going down in Seattle right now. 

This third volume has Longstocking kicking it off with their introspective indie vibes, which is often an underlying staple of Seattle music, regardless the genre. Like the track states, it’s a cutie, but with a moody inner coating. 

Next, I.S.H. levels up the energy bringing searing emerald heat with Bring It. It’s a banger Bass House track that will yank you from your thoughts, and toss you onto the dance floor. You’ll hear more from I.S.H. on FO come Winter. 

OG Feral One, EMUH, then leads us from “WTF?” to “F*ck yeah!”, which is a cunning balance this gem of a human has on lock. Fickle falls together in a way that tickles the mind. Its squeaks and tinges of old school will have your legs kicking and your heart swooning. 

Next, Jon Lee, a Seattle institution, goes Deep on the House track, Voyager. The purity of the synths and the tropical droning are magnetic, lulling you to something we now know we needed. 

A fitting transition to good old fashioned proper House is what Move Machine gifts us with Perfume Department. Wafting through, enticing us with the pulsing aroma of yesterday and the precision producing of today. 

Easily one of Seattle’s most talented dance duos, Lee Houser, gets Deep with Propera. While the perks ignite your hips into mode, the steady coolness of the bass keeps you hazed in. Brass stabs briefly wake you, to acknowledge the fact that you never want this jam to end. 

New duo to press their stamp on Seattle underground history is Intemporel Chốc Lát. Their track, I Just Wanted To Let You Know, wraps up this year's volume. Minimal, Deep and looming, this piece lets us know they are here and bringing a fresh heaviness to Seattle's ever divergent soundscape.

Remix Challenge: "Caroline" by Symmetrik

Symmetrik’s "Caroline" is an electrifying track packed with moody synths, punchy basslines, and infectious vocals, making it a standout hit in Northern Ireland’s dance scene. I was immediately drawn to its energy and versatility, which inspired me to take on the remix challenge and put my unique spin and my Vocals on this banger.

For my remix, I wanted to maintain the emotional depth of the original but elevate it with a fusion of [Edm, Techno or drum & bass] elements. I played around with tempo shifts, adding intricate layers of percussion and reworked the bassline to give it an even more driving, club-ready sound. My goal was to take the catchy vocals and reframe them with a fresh twist, creating a version that keeps the energy alive while bringing something unexpected to the table.

This challenge provided the perfect opportunity to showcase my production skills, pushing "Caroline" into a new sonic direction. I’m excited to share it with the community and see how others have reimagined this incredible track.
