The intent behind my submission was for this to feel like a journey that builds upon itself toward an awakening, or a sense of accomplishment. I focused on calming the entrance of the piece to make it feel more intimate and approachable (and allow it to build), and created an intro melody pattern that would weave in as an introduction to the existing brass stem. I also built a choral chord progression to support and fill out the existing melody.

I've been in love with (and writing) music since I was a little kid. I play the guitar, ukulele, and piano (played the flute in high school), and want to learn to play the cello.

I'm teaching myself Logic Pro and am looking forward to getting feedback on my music from listeners on here.
