Since the 90s, the charismatic Swiss DJ & Producer Steve Cole has been honing his performance & production talent to become a serious force in the underground techno & minimal scene, performing his trademark electric minimal & techno-charged live shows at some of the finest underground clubs & festivals across Europe including Sonar in Barcelona, Sea You Festival and Grenzenlos Festival in Germany, Nordstern & Hive Club in Switzerland, and countless more shows across Berlin, UK, Italy, Paris, Dominion Republic & Holland.

On the production side, Steve has released his music and co-productions on vinyl and digital format with some of the finest international artists including @RonaldChristoph, @Andreas-Henneberg, @David-Keno, @DJHellOfficial, @GabrielLeMar, & more on world-class record labels including his imprint @Schallbox-Records, @PuzzleProjectsMusic @Neopren-Records, @MyFavouriteFreaks, Keno Records, Natural Rhythm, @Dekadent-Schallplatten.

2021 & 2022 sees Steve enter the next exciting stage of his professional music career, continuing further studio collaborations with producers, beginning to perform shows again post-covid, and releasing debut tracks on vinyl and digital on rapidly rising record labels @PuzzleProjectsMusic and @HOT-GROOVERS – including a highly anticipated re-release of ‘Edbeermund’ with some excellent remixes.

Poker Flat Recordings never disappoints. La Terra is another exquisite release, this time from New York mainstay George Morel (@georgemorel) and the deep vibes of Rowee (@roweemood). Morel has been leaving impressions on club goers and listeners alike for two decades, and has a killer back catalogue featuring releases in Groove On Records, Get Physical Music, Kittball, Suara, Circle music and more. Teaming up with the Italian producer Rowee, also known as Leonardo Gonnelli, the pair share a release featuring two cuts of pure deep heat.

'La Terra' is a burner that chugs along via an urgent rhythm section, before introducing numerous curveball synths, arps, acidic squiggles and more.

'Rushing Through the Mind' sees Rowee take to the controls solo, and dives right into his signature deep, hypnotic grooves. Over 8 plus minutes this deep tech house bomb mutates and expands into a pure dancefloor moment.

This is what the Hive Audio crew is looking back on in 2k20, celebrating their first two digit anniversary in 2k20 with the release of a massive compilation album in four parts which caters all together a set of 25 all time label classics created by long time friends and label associates as well as outstanding new talent all coming together under the flag of what we call „The First 10 Years Hive Audio“.

With this being said, the selection featuring on „The First 10 Years Hive Audio Part One to Four“, both as individual tracks as well as continuous bonus DJ mixes by Animal Trainer and Dario D'Attis on Part Three and Four, perfectly reflects the sound, setting and overall attitude of Hive Audio as a label in 2k20 and beyond, presenting both an outlook and overview of contemporary Zeitgeist and a bright future that lies ahead. To the next decade!

Responsible for the opener of the third part of our tenth anniversary compilation „The First 10 Years – Part Three“ is Einzelkind who is calling for a „Blackout“, weighing in a hefty, Breakbeat-infused House groove as well as a distinct, bleepy and minimalist synth motif before employing wild vocal filter techniques and brutal build-ups for the pumping high energy House crew on peaktime dancefloors.

For their second contribution to this part of the compilation album Sous Sol give us „Taonga“, a prime example of deep, athmospheric, percussive TechHouse grooves paired with seductive large scale synths, Tribal chants and well intermingling melodies.

Furthermore the artistic pairing of Definition featuring Pete Josef is in for „Caught Out“, a tune which has been remixed by Swiss staple Dario D'Attis. His take on the original cut brings forth interesting, ever repeating loop structures alongside raw vintage bass synths, sparkling, crystalline sonic clouds and an impressively longing, timeless vocal performance for most emotional experiences out on the dancefloor.

Next up on remix duty is Matthias Meyer who's taking over controls for a variation of Reto Ardour's „Bonfire“ which is a well sexy, timeless amalgamation of TechHouse and MinimalFunk defined by a hypnotic, spatial and dreamlike attitude as well as by hot, ever functional grooves.

With the next tune Definition is going all in for a remix, presenting his personal variation of „Honey“ by SOAME featuring Animor, presenting a panoramic vision of large scale TechHouse harmonies in combination with heartfelt, tender, emotional vocals for a result.

Up next we see Dario D'Attis tune „There's A“ reworked by Gorge, bringing forth a well positive uptempo attitude and gooey, somewhat Acid infused modulations for all lovers of timeless Techno and neverending nights out.

With „Orient Yourself“ the man Moses Mehdi gets back into the groove with loose percussion bits, masterly crafted filter breakdowns and a, well... , slightly Oriental vibe alongside decent glitch cut ups, perfectly fusing East and West within one tune and a little more than six minutes.

Finally Dario D'Attis & David Aurel are in for a closing with their cut „Cuentame“, waving goodbye with a very special take on Global Beats comprised of Balearic vocals and a warm, positive TechHouse swing for those in the know.

@RonaldChristoph returns to @PuzzleProjectsMusic after the triumphant, rave-inspired Ego Death EP with label boss @BenSpaldingOfficial. This time the renowned Berlin-based musician and producer teams up with @Steve-Cole to deadly effect. The producers each bring years of deep knowledge and experience to their studio exploits: Ronald a stalwart of the Berlin scene and Steve a long-serving member of the techno beat community in his native Switzerland. 

‘Fade News’ (PPM0030) lures us into a long dark tunnel. As the murky bassline throbs and pulsates, we encounter increasingly rousing energy, Cole and Christoph adding layers of percussion and tweaking the arrangement to up the ante. Intermittent rave stabs rise in prominence, taking centre stage and providing a razor-sharp juxtaposition to the bulbous low end. 

On the flip, 'Shadows' (PPM0031) keeps it on the darkside - this time with a potent, oscillating b-line that will send shockwaves through the dance floor. Here, Cole and Christoph dial up the intensity with precision, peppering the track with vocal stabs, and a menagerie of layers and effects to cultivate depth and feeling. The atmosphere is mysterious and seductive, keeping you dancing right until the end.

@Steve-Cole and @RonaldChristoph demonstrate their prowess on this two-tracker, crafting high-calibre eyes-down techno with panache.

And there’s more @PuzzleProjectsMusic hotness on the way, with the next release seeing a return of Brazilian funkster @KatorziMusic.
