Frederic and Chris are already well known for their flavor of infectious tech house; and this EP is no exception. With ‘On’ wasting little time in getting straight to business. The track brings a solid house beat that supports a lively and warm ambience sprinkled with vocal bits and rising pads. The next adventure is ‘Inhale’, a bit more funky and soulful blend of tech house with an even warmer and almost sunny vibe under the arpeggios and guitars. A beautiful track for late night or daytime sets alike.

Exciting new production outfit Customer makes their EP debut on mobilee, as the collaborative project of childhood friends Alan Fitzpatrick and Reset Robot takes flight.

Both heavyhitters in their own right, Fitzpatrick is one of the scene’s leading techno artists; a behemoth on Drumcode, along with being the latest artist to be tapped to mix fabric’s esteemed compilation series, while Reset Robot (AKA Dave Robertson) remains one of the scene’s most outstanding production assets, co-producing and engineering many of Drumcode’s biggest tracks, together with being a regular on Truesoul.

Together, they wanted to try something different, however. The latest artists to join Anja Schneider’s mobilee – a label renowned for giving its artists creative breadth – Customer showcases the duo in a different light to the big room, main stage personas the pair has built up over decade long careers. 

Their manifesto is to explore the deeper, more atmospheric corners of house and techno and across two exquisite cuts on their mobilee debut, the pair’s intentions are realised. ‘Thirteen’ is lilting and beautiful, almost shoegazy if you discount its driving dancefloor appeal. No wonder it was a favourite of Schneider’s from the moment she first heard a freshly mastered demo last August. ‘Magic Number’ is seven minutes of delicious melodic funk; lush yet unassuming and the kind of track you could imagine soundtracking one of those superb morning set moments where the dancefloor is weepy for all the right reasons. 

The release of ‘Thirteen’ marks an auspicious month for Customer, who’ll make their mobilee gig debut at the crew’s Fact Music Pool series event on June 16 during Off Week in Barcelona.

‘Son of a Thousand Sounds’, the long-awaited sophomore LP from AFFKT is just around the corner (release date: September 23). But before that happens, we’re very glad to introduce 'Flashcrash' to you, the final single before the album's released.  

This new song once again features the stunning vocals of Sutja Gutierrez, a skilled singer who also appears on ‘The Show’ (the first single taken from the album) and ‘Someone in the Sky’ (second single).

The icing of this freshly baked cake is thanks to the remixers: Renato Cohen and dubspeeka, both highly respected artists, complete the diversified and sophisticated electronic journey of the Spanish talent. The São Paulo-based Cohen gives us our Debut Transmission, which demonstrates once again his natural talent on the groove, utilising snippets of the original's dynamic vocal layered with scratchy percussion loops. Whilst, on the other hand, the shadowy Bristolian producer dubspeeka delivers yet another booming smart-techno soundscape. An authentic intoxicating dancefloor cut.

With this release, Eskimo recordings continues to prove it's not afraid to push the boundaries of its own musical spectrum. ‘Together’ and ‘Aftermath’ are two deep house tracks by the male/female production duo Him_Self_Her. Last year’s single Gone Too Long took the charts by storm and gained them a spot in the premier league of house music. Now they are back with two fresh originals on Eskimo Recordings. Both are spaced out, timeless and soulful jams, drenched in a warm and deep atmosphere. Exactly what keeps us going on the dance floor at 5 in the morning.
