“Motorway Driving” just didn’t sound right — “Highway Driving” felt like it belonged to something bigger.
This track tries to capture that feeling of driving those endless American highways, cutting through the desert under a vast, open sky.

It’s a song about motion and solitude — the hum of the road, the blur of distance, and that strange calm that comes with travelling nowhere in particular.

"I Love Her A Lot"
This track came together fast — written over just two sessions.
The best songs often arrive that way, uninvited but completely formed.

Once again, I found myself diving into themes of depression and darkness, drawing inspiration from the corners of YouTube where the mood isn’t always light.
One day I’ll write a happy song — I promise!

Right now, though, this is my favourite piece — and it seems to have struck a chord with many of you too.

I Love Her A Lot

"Gaunt Quiet" 
What can I say — this one was a joy to write and mix.
It’s built around a gentle electric piano line (played by me) and features a few classic Richard Burton samples — [please don’t sue me, Jeff Wayne!]

There’s something cinematic about it — the kind of track that drifts between calm and tension, sound and silence.
A bit haunting, a bit hopeful.

Burning Bridges

"Acapulco Gold"
I’d been wanting to weave Cheech & Chong into a track for ages — and this felt like the perfect one.
There’s a laid-back, hazy groove to it that fits the spirit perfectly.

This was one of those pieces that was tricky to mix but a real joy to create.
Sometimes the challenge makes the end result even sweeter.

I’m really happy with how it turned out — a playful nod to those psychedelic comedy legends and a little trip of my own.

"Space Captain Dave"
This one turned out to be a big nod to Hawkwind — and to their original Captain, Dave Brock.
I’ve always loved the Lemmy years and that unmistakable, thunderous bass. The unpredictable rhythm and that wild space-rock pulse still send shivers down my spine.

Funny thing — this track was sitting untitled in an old folder, completely forgotten.
When I stumbled across it again, it felt like uncovering a lost transmission from deep space.

So here it is — Space Captain Dave, rediscovered and ready for launch.

"Song For Paul"
I wrote this piece over just two days — kept it simple, and somehow it just fell into place.
Built loosely around a Bm–B chord progression, the jam evolved into something far more personal than I expected.

Song for Paul was written for my best friend — the one who taught me so much about music and life.
I finished it on his birthday, 27th September, and it felt only right to dedicate it to him.

It’s a song of gratitude and remembrance — a quiet nod to the lessons, laughter, and late-night conversations that shaped the journey.

Before we start — I’ve never claimed to be a great singer!
But sometimes the song itself carries you, and that’s what happened here.

The lyrics began as words from an old friend, to which I added a few of my own — and slowly, the music took shape.

Another set of lyrics sent to me by an old friend — words that instantly sparked something.
I put them to music, and the song seemed to come alive on its own.

I only wish I had the voice to sing it myself… that chorus still hooks me every time.

I Just Followed The Crowd

"Songs From The Old House"
I wrote this piece while looking after my dad, during the final weeks of his illness.
Those nights, I’d stay over at the house I grew up in — just me, my guitar, and the quiet.
That old house still echoed with memories, and somehow, they found their way into this song.

The child’s voice you hear is me, recorded back in 1977.
The other voice belongs to my friend Macca, captured during a gig years later — the moment our guitarist’s mum walked into the pub and he called out, “Here’s your mum, Da!”
Little fragments of real life, woven into the sound.

This song means a great deal to me — a connection to the past, to my dad, and to where it all began.
I’ve fallen in love with how it turned out, and I’m proud to share it.
