Flemish artists seek their inspiration in everything; in everyday life and in culture. As the theme of this work is mutual influences between Federico García Lorca and flamenco, this part of my thesis will deal with flamenco creations inspired by Lorca's art… José Monge Cruz, born on December 5, 1950 in San Fernando [died in 1992], known as Camarón de la Isla became one of the best and best-known flamenco singers in history. And as Diego "El Cigala" describes it. "Camarón was unrepeatable, he was a genius and a figure par excellence, and there will never be another like him." Looking at the musical creation of this character, we can see that he was greatly inspired by Lorca's poems. In 1979 he recorded his tenth album called The legend of time and titled it in the same way as a poem by Federico García Lorca is called. In The Legend of Time the singer sings five songs that are the poems written by Lorca. He chose: "Romance del Amargo", "My girl went to the sea", "Tribute to Federico", "Nana del Caballo Grande" and, the one that gives the album its title, "La Leyenda del Tiempo"
