This time, the duo remix Super Flu's 'Didschn' track which was first out on the label Monaberry in 2010. It is the latest in a long line of successes from the Monkey Safari pair who have put out a range of great EPs and LPs, always with characterful sound designs and curious grooves. Their fresh remix of 'Didschn' is an eight minute and immersive house masterclass. The supple drums roll deep under lush and late night synths. As the pressure builds, vocals and freaky sound effects add details to keep things fresh and ensure this one is going to cast a real spell on all who hear it. This is another super offering from Monkey Safari who are in the form their lives.

Tim Green is back with another brace of high impact club tunes of the sort that have made him one of the most in-demand producers of the day.

Whether serving up rolling techno treats for Cocoon, essential mixes for the Body Language series on Get Physical or laying down compelling club sets in the DJ booth, Brit Tim Green is unstoppable right now. Here he steps up to the Get Weird imprint with two more tantalising cuts that show just how broad and brilliant an artist he is.

Stirring opener ‘For A Memory’ is eleven minutes of wordless and intoxicating female vocals, slick rubbery drums and plunging bass. The overall effect is hypnotic, rolling and perfectly groovy, and it will no doubt have whole dancefloors locked under its spell. Some little melodic explosions, sweeping filters and luscious pads all help add a real air of grace to proceedings that mark it out as another classic from Green.

‘For A Distant Memory’ is a subtle but noteworthy reworking of the same cut. In this one, the drums are less direct and more stripped back, there is a focus on the angelic, glowing pads and on spine tingling slices of synth that are reflective and emotive as they drop in and out. It is a perfectly trance inducing, heart warming cut that the likes of Lee Burridge at his All Day I Dream parties, or various DJs playing on a sun kissed terrace around the globe, will all lap right up.

Italian maestros Leon and NiCe7 join forces for the next release on Crosstown Rebels. Released in May Please Don’t Leave features a remix from label affiliate Serge Devant, providing his signature after hours groove.

Please Don’t Leave opens with a striped back vocal courtesy of Sam Threadgold, it develops with a hypnotic melody and layered percussive sounds. The vocal hook hints at a long-lost lover whilst the pulsing beat draws the listener in. New York’s Serge Devant is on remix duty and it’s a typically minimal affair with an acid-tinged bassline and a nod to the early hours. Also, NiCe7 provides a club friendly edit on the B2.

A mainstay in the house scene for over ten years, Leon has produced a number of recognised tracks on labels including; Saved Records, Defected, VIVa, ReBirth whilst event highlights include; Sunwaves, Pacha and Ministry Of Sound. Crossing  borders  is  a  familiar  experience  to  David  Mayer.  Though  being  born  in  south  Germany,  he  spent  most  of  his  youth  living  in  Norway  and  (for  a  change)  in  Lanzarote,  before Berlin  happened  to  become  his  home  in  2004.  With  key-releases  on  Connected,  Ouïe, Objektivity, Mobilee and  Keinemusik  alongside  remixes  on  Kompakt,  Get  Physical,  Offering  Recordings  and  Rise Music  Berlin  he  has  forged  a  reputation  as  a  producer  and  touring  DJ.

As  he  prefers  thinking  outside  the  box,  Mayer  has  always  been  equally  interested  in  listening  to  and  experimenting  with  diverse  forms  of  music,  no  matter  what  musical  genre  they derive  from,  although  his  passion  for  funked  up  and  heavily  pounding  4/4  beats  clearly dominates  his  creative  output.  Early  tracks  like  “Fortune”,  “Word  Is  Bond”,  “Celsius”  and “Sunhole”  just  as  the  more  recent  „Drained“  featuring  Sooma,  „Movement“,  „Sirocco“  and his  several  remixes  are  characterised  by  an  intriguing  knack  for  detail  and  precise  sound design.  Both  when  spinning  records  and  producing  tracks,  he  is  presenting  his  own  interpretation  of  catchiness,  mixing  up  Techno  and  percussive  House,  adding  a  little  deepness, but  always  keeping  an  eye  on  making  his  audience  shake  some.

Only  leaving  his  desk  in  order  to  indulge  some  serious  clubbing,  this  guy  knows  about  priorities.  With  a  solid  and  continuous  stream  of  output  under  his  belt,  it  is  always  of  interest  what  David  Mayer  is  up  for  next.
