Watching from an armchair he hardly moved, the beautiful images of far flung places were the soundtrack to a day wasted, he would never travel and never see the glorious sights. His experience was trapped within four walls. This was the risk of media in the digital age...

For the Melodic House edition of Yoshitoshi 25, we’ve focused on the tracks that were either too proggy for house or too melodic for techno. Many house historians would claim that this sound has been Yoshitoshi’s bread and butter throughout the years, and this final entry into the Yoshitoshi 25 compilation series demonstrates exactly why. As with the other two compilations, we’ve selected a handful of freshly remastered, stone-cold classics such as PQM’s “You Are Sleeping (Luke Chable Mix),” Valentino’s “Flying,” and Morel’s “True (The F****t Is You - Deep Dish Remix),” and mixed them up with the most memorable modern records from Yoshitoshi’s catalogue like OC & Verde’s “Indica,” Khainz’s “Collider,” and Red Axes’ remix of Dino Lenny’s “I Feel Stereo.” Of course the package wouldn’t be complete without some new remixes, so Sharam and Armonica have delivered some beautifully-crafted reworks of Yoshitoshi classics. Sharam takes on Luzon’s mega-classic “The Baguio Track,” turning the tune into a dark roller that has been the talk of his recent Burning Man sets. Armonica crafted an amazing remix of Anarcrusan’s “In My Mind” that winds gracefully between delicate, dreamy riffs and bouncy, bass-driven breakdowns. The final package is a perfect way to end the Yoshitoshi 25 series, giving both new listeners and longtime fans of the label an expansive view of the label’s legacy. Martin Jenkins, more commonly known as the artist Pye Corner Audio, epitomizes Lapsus' commitment to cutting edge sound experimentation. In 2017, he beguiled the electronic music community by releasing the 'Where Things Are Hollow' EP, on Lapsus Records. Now we are delighted to announce the release of ‘Where Things Are Hollow 2’, consisting of three brand new original cuts and a breath-taking remix from none other than John Talabot.

'Where Things Are Hollow 2' explores a spectral and hypnagogic terrain, establishing an electronic sound that at times invokes Jenkins’ more dance friendly facet -'Self Synchronize', 'Weather The Storm'– while also offering his familiar iridescent dreamlike ambient textures –'Phase B'– that featured prominently on his first EP.

This second EP also includes a remix from John Talabot, unquestionably one of Spain’s most internationally recognised names over the last decade, who exquisitely reimagines 'Resist' -a song from the first EP-, transforming it into a cross between EBM and hypnotic techno.

From a graphic design perspective, renowned artists Alex Trochut and Basora have once again collaborated on this project, repeating the formula that made the artwork for "Where Things Are Hollow" such a collector's item.

Giorgia Angiuli's Trust The Hours EP lands on her new label United and is another fantastic offering form this vital talent.

Says the artist, "Trust the Hours" is a melodic techno tune composed after two months of hard lockdown. I had my first walk and it was an incredible experience, looking at the river at sunset I had goosebumps and I understood how important is to appreciate all the little things. Then I came in back in studio and I translated these feelings in music." The result is a deep and thoughtful track that really carries you away.

"Be My Rain" is a collaboration with Nors Kode, a soundtrack composer based in Barcelona who Angiuli met virtually. It is a dark, romantic track with the Moog Sub 37 Touch adding to the tracks cosmic clarity, driving bass and dreamy lushness.

Last of all, "Who Are You" is a deep melodic track inspired by mysterious connections; when you meet someone that is so special and familiar for you, even if you know just a few things about this person.

This is a truly moving and special EP.

After Innellea played most of the tracks of the compilation in live sets and podcasts, people have asked for them a lot. “We live in a world dominated by fast pace. The ability to access anything, anywhere, at any time leads to an enormously short survival time - even for releases in the music industry.” That's why Innellea has chosen to not release the songs immediately to create something that can keep its shine for a longer time as a complete piece of art. To finish the past and initiate the future, Innellea decided now to release some of this tracks. As icing on the cake he made very limited edition of a fair trade, organic cotton long sleeve shirt in the course of the release. The shirt comes together with the eleven track compilation.
