David Rivera is an established Puerto Rican musician that has over ten years of professional music experience focused on teaching, arranging, composing, and performing various music styles – including Jazz, Latin, Gospel, Rock and Pop. He has participated in numerous live concerts and studio sessions with Miguel Zenón, Pedro Capo, Obie Bermudez, Luis Enrique, Jerry Medina, William Cepeda, Gonzalo Grau, Mango Blue. Finally, a faculty member in various programs in the Boston area like the Berklee College of Music City Music Outreach Program, The Berklee Five Week Program, Day Sessions and The Boston Public Schools.
Rivera is also show creator and host of the podcast Akulkul in which each episode he interviews and performs with a different artist. The show digs into the artists’ creative processes, captures their inspirations, and unravels stories that have shaped their careers.
