Nahráno s hydrofonem Aquabeat na kamenitém pobřeží Kréty, poblíž přístaviště v Paleochoře. V tůni jsem vypozoroval několik druhů menších ryb, různé hlemýždě a malé kraby, komu ale patří jaký hlas, to nemám nejmenší tušení. Hlučení na pozadí jsou vlny tříštící se o kameny a projíždějící čluny/lodě.

Recorded with the Aquabeat hydrophone on the rocky coast of Crete, near the port of Paleochora. I spotted several species of smaller fish, various snails and small crabs in the pool, but who is making which sounds I have no idea. The background noise is mostly waves crashing on rocks and passing boats.

recorded on a recent field trip / workshop in Iceland that I was leading along with Chris Watson. All examples were recorded into Sound Devices 7-series recorders & are unprocessed.

lets just say i'm proud of the hydrophones I produce & the fact that I keep the costs within reach of most folks.

Assignment 2 - Assignment 1 Revision

Using hydrophones in various locations in Taiwan, in the recent years I often record and hear that sounds. From fishing harbours to coral reefs, it seems they are very well distributed : Penghu archipelago, Haikou in Pingtung, Keelung, and Nigel Brown recorded the same in Tainan. I never heard it before 2018, maybe it is a coincidence or this species just spread more recently.
We want identification ! Anyone can help ?

Assignment 5 - Wobble

A contest was held in 2014 to find the most beautiful sound in the world.  Here it is, a rainforest full of insects and frogs (https://beautifulnow.is/sound) that reveals a true visual composition in the sonogram.
