Conquistador Sequenced Orchestral Front, merged to original Edmonton Orchestra cut. I sequenced and operated this Intro with Gary Brooker for Procol Harum for a tour of the USA in 1991. I reproduced this version for my Bachelor of MusicArts Degree - endorsed and supported by Gary Brooker and Geoff Whitehorn of Procol Harum in 2011.

I sequenced and operated this bass sequence with Steve Winwood for live concerts for back in the High Life and Roll with It Tours of the USA in 1986 and 1988 respectively. (Steve actually played the moog bass parts) I revoiced this with the added synth pads as part of my Bachelor of MusicArts Degree in 2011. Reproduced with permission from Wincraft / FS Music. Please note - I have "flawed" the bass line in places to stop it being Karaoke'd !(This is taken from an MP3 Version)

Recorded Live at Knebworth Park n 1992. I sequenced the entire set with Ian Devaney. I played second keyboards for the entire USA / European Tour. This is the only recording of this track - made from the FOH desk and gifted to me by Lisa and Ian.

I worked with Jeff for more than ten years. The main part of my role was keyboard programmer, sampling, sequencing, etc.This is taken from a board tape (metal cassette at the time!) from the 1989 Guitar Shop USA Tour with Stevie Ray Vaughan - from Madison Square Gardens.
I took and placed all the guitar and voice samples (with Tony Hymas)and processed all of Terry Bozzio's Drum sounds (Alesis Midiverb III !!) Keyboards used were Ensoniq and Yamaha (DX FM Synth Bass)

I sequenced three tracks in Livingstone studios, London for The Soup Dragons for their New York City Shows  - Urgent Job, couriered overnight to NYC & these were used the next day live to cover for their sick percussionist Steve Sedelnyk. (Produced by Marius De Vries)

Unfortunately, due to constraints of the short film process, the audio track was mixed in mono and printed to the optic on the film, so the audio quality is somewhat compromised.

I produced the cast album for BMG - inheriting all the cast vocal recordings from previous sessions. Peter Kearns and myself played and replaced the entire (and often huge) orchestral arrangements - A painstaking and   elaborate procedure which took many months of hard work !! All the orchestral sounds came from my Kurzweil K2000. All drums are programmed and from memory came mainly from an Alesis D4 Module......

David is an English born musician and music producer who has been resident in New Zealand since 1993. Classically trained as a keyboardist and guitarist, and infatuated by both music and its technologies, David brings to the table a wealth of unique top-level industry experience. A veteran of numerous world tours and major recording projects throughout the 1980's, 1990's & 2000s, working constantly in some of the worlds' most prestigious recording studios and concert venues.

David's track record speaks for itself - he has worked regularly with some of the most influential contemporary rock musicians in the world – Steve Winwood, Jeff Beck, Mark Knopfler, Emmylou Harris, Sade, Lisa Stansfield, Roger Waters, Robert Fripp, David Sylvian ..... as well as working alongside some of the top producers in the music industry, including – Marius de Vries (Madonna, Annie Lennox, Massive Attack, Bjork), Phill Brown (Bob Marley, David Gilmour, Robert Plant, Dido), Nick Griffiths (Pink Floyd), Pat Leonard (Madonna), Leif Masses (Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Abba)...........

Since immigrating to New Zealand, he has composed and produced soundtracks for several film and documentary productions for TVNZ, as well as numerous TV, Cinema & Radio ads for many of the top advertising agencies. Homegrown NZ successes also include producing and writing with Salmonella Dub for the NZ award winning hit “Love your Ways”, and full production credits for several diverse NZ major label album projects. He continues to compose and produce music for TV and Media in NZ.

David has been employed as a tutor at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology "MusicArts" since 1998.  David tutors in Music Production, Music Technology, Performance, History, & Music Industry for both the Jazz and Contemporary Popular Music Programmes.

David has a Bachelor of Musical Arts Degree, a Diploma in Contemporary Rock Music and a Diploma in Tertiary Learning and Teaching. He is currently studying a post-graduate Diploma in Information Design.
