Dreamy aesthetics intertwine with dancefloor athletics in Several Definitions’ You Are Not Alone EP. The title track emerges via a slow paced wandering bassline, making for a gradually immersive intro. Padded with ethereal synths and aerial whizzes, Alone’s dreaminess increases tenfold showcasing the artist’s crafty melodic side. Hatzler jumps in on the remix, kicking off with a bumping bassline from the get-go. Injecting bass and grit is one of his known production traits, and he manages to give Alone a straightforward, still dreamy yet solid groove appeal.

Longstanding friend of SCI+TEC Alex Mine continues his consistent cannon of powerful precision-

produced techno weapons with the remarkable three-track ‘Elements’ EP.

The title track sets the scene: a hypnotic raindrop rhythmic texture cascades down the spectrum

while a fog horn bass groans through the moody mists. Already a heavily ID’d track in Dubfire’s

recent shows, this is one of Alex’s most arresting grooves to date.

It’s backed by the equally on-point ‘Omnia’. Pneumatic hypnotica with a palpitating bass that wraps

around the industrial strength kicks; there’s a pensive sensation of momentum that’s not dissimilar

to Underworld in its lolloping dexterity.

Finally we’re plunged even further into Alex’s deep psyche on ‘Substance’ where a pensive

cavernous bass groove groans and growls with measured ominousness beneath vibrant, shimmering

cosmic synth vapour trails that are guaranteed to hypnotise.

Sheer SCI+TEC sci-fi… Alex Mine always delivers.

Senso Sounds Level 02 maintaining the vibe Senso has become synonymous with - dark yet funky techno and tech house made to move bodies the world over. Veteran German DJ / producer André Winter steps up with 'Carte Blanche' - a perfect example of the honing of his craft over the years. The track is a lean, mean technoid excursion - firing along over a pulsating groove and throwing in detuned synths for maximum delirium.
Maksim Dark proceeds with 'Addendum' - the young Russian locking directly into a thick, juicy groove and staying focused throughout its journey. Shaded (aka Skyler Taugher) brings 'Sip Trip' to the table, and it sees the highly rated American deliver a trippy, acidic journey sure to melt minds. Brazil has a special place in the heart of Jannowitz Records boss BOHO. Over the past few years several amazing artists approached the label and started close collaborations. One of them is Coppola. The young musician produced the Odyssey EP together with Indian super star Diatonik just a few months ago. And apparently he liked the turnout. Cause Coppola is back - and this time his sound is even darker and more progressive than last year. The name giving track of the Green Juice EP is a perfect example of what Coppola has evolved into during the last nine months: danceable tunes, subtle synth lines and strong kicks. Luckily it wasn't hard to convince two superb remixers to rearrange and work with Green Juice. 

If you are following the Jannowitz Records family and what's happening around them closely you should even know who we are talking about: Hory Doly and Markus Volker have both recently stepped into the spotlight by being under the first few names of Maksim Dark's new Dense label. On Jannowitz Records they show you what they've got. The former producer team turned the track into a bumpy and fast remix that is straight on a killer. 

A melodic yet progressive and techy track that is filled with tension and little bits and bops that you will only realise after having listened to the track for two or three times. Green Juice or Red Juice. Whatever you prefer, whatever color you want your juice to be - you can get it within this EP. Pretty juicy, right?
